Review Eachine E011 Mini
Banggood.com
Today I am wanting at the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that's one other "Inductrix Clone". The headline function that makes it stand out it the highest plate has building block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that will get to ride the quad like a skateboard. Fun, right? Well, let's get into this assessment, and see if that is "simply another clone" or if it will possibly stand out...
Flying
Plug within the battery, and the quad LED's give a sluggish blink. Switch on the distant, and the quad LED's go to a fast blink as they bind, then give steady on once it is able to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig isn't loaded, the quad will practically leap into the air. Without the extra weight of the mini-figure, there's almost not sufficient down throttle - it's powerful to hover clean as a result of you are a the very backside end of the throttle vary. Add the little man, or other cargo, and it smooths out. Remember these 716 motors? yea, they've the facility! Loaded up, the quad remains to be very zippy, and climbs happy and shortly. Throttle blips are rewarded with nice hops in the air. Flying is easy. The quad does have two "rate" modes, high and low. the small button beneath the throttle switches modes - one press gives a double beep for top charges, another press gives one beep for low charges. In low, it moves round easily, and velocity / tilt / yaw are simple to handle. In High, it get a bit extra spirited. Still easy to regulate, however will keep newcomers on their toes because it zips around. Experienced pilots will more than likely want to leap straight to the excessive charges. Overall, the one unhealthy behavior I found with the quad is with the throttle low range. I wish it was a bit smoother on the underside end, as it appears to cut energy often when I am descending. And, as talked about before - flying unloaded, it virtually won't hover, resulting from this.

Battery life
Battery life is sweet. I used to be consistently getting 6 minutes with the inventory battery. One flight, I ran the first 3-4 minutes with the mini-figure, then the final half with out and got a strong 7 minutes flight. Overall, I just like the stock battery, no complaints. I did also fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I bought for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are only flying for 5 minutes, with a noticeable decrease in punch. They do fly the quad good, however the inventory battery is best. As a side observe, Banggood sells a 5-pack of those batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So we've got an awesome flying quad, with good battery life, and power to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV camera that I had used to FPV a small RC car, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 came with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was an exact fit for some unused mounting holes on the highest of the quad. The main battery plug for the quad was situated in order that it was easy to solder on the camera power lead, so a number of screws later, I used to be ready to fly FPV!
Camera energy wires soldered to the again facet of the quad's battery plug
The EF-01 digital camera was very close in weight to the mini-figure, so flying performance was comparable. Unfortunately for me, my digicam died before I may fly it quite a lot of short flights (the digital camera already had issues from it is car duty days). for certain, although, I will probably be ordering a new camera.
Summary
I've had quite a lot of fun with this quad. It is an efficient flyer, has good battery life, and has loads of power. My kids additionally prefer it - they'll add Legos to it and construct cockpits and different stuff. The quad can elevate an honest amount, but it's going to run out of power in a few dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it simply bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps don't mechanically imply crashes - which is nice for studying to fly. Overall I really liked this quad, and give it two thumbs up!
