Review Eachine E011 Mini

Today I am wanting at the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that is another "Inductrix Clone". The headline function that makes it stand out it the top plate has constructing block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that will get to trip the quad like a skateboard. 
Fun, right? Well, let's get into this evaluation, and see if that is "just another clone" or if it may well stand out...
Flying
Plug within the battery, and the quad LED's give a gradual blink. Switch on the distant, and the quad LED's go to a quick blink as they bind, then give steady on once it is ready to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig is just not loaded, the quad will virtually leap into the air. Without the additional weight of the mini-figure, there's virtually not sufficient down throttle - it's robust to hover smooth because you are a the very bottom end of the throttle vary. Add the little man, or other cargo, and it smooths out. Remember those 716 motors? yea, they have the power! Loaded up, the quad remains to be very zippy, and climbs happy and quickly. Throttle blips are rewarded with nice hops within the air. Flying is smooth. The quad does have two "fee" modes, high and low. the small button beneath the throttle switches modes - one press gives a double beep for top charges, one other press offers one beep for low rates. In low, it moves round easily, and pace / tilt / yaw are easy to handle. In High, it get a bit more spirited. Still straightforward to manage, however will maintain newbies on their toes because it zips round. Experienced pilots will most likely need to bounce straight to the high charges. Overall, the only dangerous habit I found with the quad is with the throttle low vary. I want it was a bit smoother on the underside finish, as it seems to chop power often when I am descending. And, as mentioned earlier than - flying unloaded, it virtually won't hover, on account of this.
Battery life
Battery life is sweet. I was persistently getting 6 minutes with the stock battery. One flight, I ran the primary 3-4 minutes with the mini-figure, then the last half with out and obtained a solid 7 minutes flight. Overall, I just like the inventory battery, no complaints. I did also fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I purchased for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are only flying for 5 minutes, with a noticeable decrease in punch. They do fly the quad good, however the inventory battery is best. As a side word, Banggood sells a 5-pack of those batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So we've got an incredible flying quad, with good battery life, and energy to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV digicam that I had used to FPV a small RC car, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 got here with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was a precise match for some unused mounting holes on the highest of the quad. The major battery plug for the quad was situated so that it was easy to solder on the digicam energy lead, so a number of screws later, I used to be able to fly FPV!

The EF-01 camera was very shut in weight to the mini-figure, so flying performance was comparable. Unfortunately for me, my camera died earlier than I may fly it more than a few short flights (the digicam already had points from it's automobile obligation days). for positive, though, I will be ordering a brand new camera.
Summary
I've had quite a lot of enjoyable with this quad. It is a good flyer, has good battery life, and has plenty of energy. My youngsters additionally like it - they are going to add Legos to it and construct cockpits and different stuff. The quad can carry an honest amount, but it can run out of power in a few dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it easily bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps don't robotically mean crashes - which is sweet for learning to fly. Overall I really preferred this quad, and provides it two thumbs up!
