Review Eachine E011 Mini
Banggood.com
Today I am wanting at the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that's another "Inductrix Clone". The headline function that makes it stand out it the highest plate has building block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that gets to experience the quad like a skateboard. Fun, right? Well, let's get into this evaluate, and see if that is "just one other clone" or if it might stand out...
Flying
Plug in the battery, and the quad LED's give a gradual blink. Switch on the remote, and the quad LED's go to a fast blink as they bind, then give steady on as soon as it is able to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig will not be loaded, the quad will practically leap into the air. Without the additional weight of the mini-figure, there may be virtually not sufficient down throttle - it is powerful to hover easy as a result of you are a the very bottom finish of the throttle vary. Add the little man, or different cargo, and it smooths out. Remember these 716 motors? yea, they have the facility! Loaded up, the quad is still very zippy, and climbs completely satisfied and quickly. Throttle blips are rewarded with nice hops in the air. Flying is clean. The quad does have two "charge" modes, low and high. the small button below the throttle switches modes - one press gives a double beep for high rates, another press provides one beep for low charges. In low, it moves round easily, and velocity / tilt / yaw are straightforward to handle. In High, it get a bit more spirited. Still straightforward to regulate, but will hold inexperienced persons on their toes as it zips around. Experienced pilots will most likely need to leap straight to the excessive rates. Overall, the only unhealthy habit I discovered with the quad is with the throttle low vary. I want it was a bit smoother on the bottom finish, as it seems to chop power typically when I am descending. And, as mentioned before - flying unloaded, it virtually won't hover, because of this.

Battery life
Battery life is nice. I was persistently getting 6 minutes with the stock battery. One flight, I ran the first Three-4 minutes with the mini-figure, then the last half without and received a solid 7 minutes flight. Overall, I just like the stock battery, no complaints. I did also fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I bought for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are solely flying for five minutes, with a noticeable decrease in punch. They do fly the quad good, but the stock battery is best. As a facet note, Banggood sells a 5-pack of these batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So now we have a great flying quad, with good battery life, and energy to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV camera that I had used to FPV a small RC car, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 came with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was a precise match for some unused mounting holes on the top of the quad. The major battery plug for the quad was positioned so that it was simple to solder on the camera power lead, so a few screws later, I used to be able to fly FPV!
Camera energy wires soldered to the again aspect of the quad's battery plug
The EF-01 camera was very shut in weight to the mini-figure, so flying performance was comparable. Unfortunately for me, my digital camera died before I might fly it various brief flights (the digital camera already had issues from it is automotive obligation days). for certain, although, I can be ordering a brand new digital camera.
Summary
I've had a lot of enjoyable with this quad. It is a good flyer, has good battery life, and has plenty of power. My children additionally prefer it - they may add Legos to it and build cockpits and other stuff. The quad can carry an honest quantity, but it'll run out of power in about a dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it simply bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps don't mechanically imply crashes - which is sweet for learning to fly. Overall I really liked this quad, and provides it two thumbs up!
