Review Eachine E011 Mini

Today I'm wanting at the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that is another "Inductrix Clone". The headline feature that makes it stand out it the highest plate has constructing block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that will get to experience the quad like a skateboard. 
Fun, right? Well, let's get into this assessment, and see if this is "just another clone" or if it will possibly stand out...
Flying
Plug in the battery, and the quad LED's give a sluggish blink. Switch on the remote, and the quad LED's go to a quick blink as they bind, then give regular on as soon as it is able to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig isn't loaded, the quad will virtually leap into the air. Without the extra weight of the mini-figure, there is nearly not enough down throttle - it is powerful to hover clean as a result of you are a the very bottom finish of the throttle range. Add the little man, or other cargo, and it smooths out. Remember those 716 motors? yea, they've the power! Loaded up, the quad is still very zippy, and climbs pleased and quickly. Throttle blips are rewarded with nice hops within the air. Flying is clean. The quad does have two "rate" modes, low and high. the small button under the throttle switches modes - one press gives a double beep for top charges, another press provides one beep for low rates. In low, it strikes round smoothly, and pace / tilt / yaw are simple to handle. In High, it get a bit more spirited. Still straightforward to manage, however will preserve learners on their toes as it zips around. Experienced pilots will most definitely wish to jump straight to the high charges. Overall, the one dangerous habit I discovered with the quad is with the throttle low vary. I want it was a bit smoother on the underside finish, as it appears to chop power often when I'm descending. And, as talked about before - flying unloaded, it nearly will not hover, on account of this.

Battery life
Battery life is good. I was consistently getting 6 minutes with the stock battery. One flight, I ran the first Three-Four minutes with the mini-figure, then the final half without and bought a strong 7 minutes flight. Overall, I like the stock battery, no complaints. I did also fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I bought for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are only flying for 5 minutes, with a noticeable decrease in punch. They do fly the quad good, however the inventory battery is better. As a side observe, Banggood sells a 5-pack of those batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So we have an ideal flying quad, with good battery life, and energy to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV digital camera that I had used to FPV a small RC car, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 got here with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was an exact match for some unused mounting holes on the top of the quad. The essential battery plug for the quad was positioned so that it was straightforward to solder on the digital camera power lead, so a couple of screws later, I was ready to fly FPV!

The EF-01 digicam was very close in weight to the mini-figure, so flying efficiency was similar. Unfortunately for me, my camera died earlier than I might fly it more than a few brief flights (the camera already had issues from it's automotive duty days). for positive, although, I will likely be ordering a new digicam.
Summary
I've had plenty of fun with this quad. It is an effective flyer, has good battery life, and has loads of energy. My children additionally like it - they will add Legos to it and construct cockpits and different stuff. The quad can lift a decent quantity, however it's going to run out of energy in about a dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it simply bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps don't mechanically imply crashes - which is nice for learning to fly. Overall I really liked this quad, and give it two thumbs up!
