Review Eachine E011 Mini

Today I am looking on the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that is one other "Inductrix Clone". The headline characteristic that makes it stand out it the top plate has constructing block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that will get to experience the quad like a skateboard. 
Fun, right? Well, let's get into this evaluate, and see if that is "just one other clone" or if it may stand out...
Flying
Plug in the battery, and the quad LED's give a sluggish blink. Switch on the remote, and the quad LED's go to a fast blink as they bind, then give steady on as soon as it is ready to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig will not be loaded, the quad will practically leap into the air. Without the additional weight of the mini-figure, there's nearly not enough down throttle - it's robust to hover clean because you're a the very bottom end of the throttle range. Add the little man, or different cargo, and it smooths out. Remember those 716 motors? yea, they've the facility! Loaded up, the quad is still very zippy, and climbs comfortable and shortly. Throttle blips are rewarded with good hops in the air. Flying is smooth. The quad does have two "charge" modes, high and low. the small button beneath the throttle switches modes - one press offers a double beep for prime rates, another press offers one beep for low rates. In low, it strikes around smoothly, and pace / tilt / yaw are simple to manage. In High, it get a bit more spirited. Still straightforward to regulate, however will hold newbies on their toes because it zips around. Experienced pilots will almost certainly want to soar straight to the excessive charges. Overall, the one bad habit I found with the quad is with the throttle low range. I want it was a bit smoother on the underside finish, because it seems to chop power typically when I'm descending. And, as mentioned before - flying unloaded, it nearly won't hover, as a result of this.
Battery life
Battery life is nice. I used to be persistently getting 6 minutes with the stock battery. One flight, I ran the first Three-Four minutes with the mini-figure, then the final half without and received a stable 7 minutes flight. Overall, I just like the stock battery, no complaints. I did also fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I bought for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are solely flying for five minutes, with a noticeable decrease in punch. They do fly the quad good, however the stock battery is better. As a aspect notice, Banggood sells a 5-pack of these batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So we have a great flying quad, with good battery life, and energy to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV camera that I had used to FPV a small RC car, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 came with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was an exact fit for some unused mounting holes on the top of the quad. The most important battery plug for the quad was located so that it was straightforward to solder on the digital camera energy lead, so a number of screws later, I used to be able to fly FPV!

The EF-01 camera was very shut in weight to the mini-figure, so flying performance was related. Unfortunately for me, my camera died earlier than I might fly it quite a lot of brief flights (the digital camera already had points from it's car responsibility days). for positive, although, I might be ordering a brand new camera.
Summary
I have had quite a lot of enjoyable with this quad. It is a good flyer, has good battery life, and has plenty of power. My youngsters additionally like it - they are going to add Legos to it and construct cockpits and other stuff. The quad can elevate a decent quantity, but it will run out of energy in a few dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it simply bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps do not automatically mean crashes - which is sweet for studying to fly. Overall I actually appreciated this quad, and provides it two thumbs up!
