Review Eachine E011 Mini

Today I am trying on the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that's another "Inductrix Clone". The headline function that makes it stand out it the top plate has building block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that gets to journey the quad like a skateboard. 
Fun, proper? Well, let's get into this assessment, and see if that is "simply one other clone" or if it could possibly stand out...
Flying
Plug in the battery, and the quad LED's give a slow blink. Switch on the distant, and the quad LED's go to a quick blink as they bind, then give regular on once it is able to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig is just not loaded, the quad will virtually leap into the air. Without the extra weight of the mini-figure, there is virtually not enough down throttle - it's robust to hover clean as a result of you are a the very backside finish of the throttle range. Add the little man, or other cargo, and it smooths out. Remember these 716 motors? yea, they've the facility! Loaded up, the quad continues to be very zippy, and climbs blissful and quickly. Throttle blips are rewarded with good hops in the air. Flying is easy. The quad does have two "price" modes, high and low. the small button beneath the throttle switches modes - one press gives a double beep for prime rates, one other press gives one beep for low charges. In low, it strikes around smoothly, and speed / tilt / yaw are simple to handle. In High, it get a bit more spirited. Still easy to control, but will maintain novices on their toes because it zips around. Experienced pilots will almost definitely need to leap straight to the excessive rates. Overall, the only dangerous behavior I discovered with the quad is with the throttle low vary. I want it was a bit smoother on the underside end, because it seems to chop energy often when I'm descending. And, as talked about before - flying unloaded, it almost won't hover, resulting from this.
Battery life
Battery life is sweet. I used to be constantly getting 6 minutes with the stock battery. One flight, I ran the first 3-4 minutes with the mini-figure, then the final half without and got a strong 7 minutes flight. Overall, I just like the stock battery, no complaints. I did additionally fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I purchased for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are only flying for five minutes, with a noticeable lower in punch. They do fly the quad good, however the stock battery is healthier. As a facet notice, Banggood sells a 5-pack of those batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So now we have an awesome flying quad, with good battery life, and energy to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV digital camera that I had used to FPV a small RC automotive, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 came with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was an exact match for some unused mounting holes on the highest of the quad. The fundamental battery plug for the quad was situated so that it was easy to solder on the digital camera energy lead, so a couple of screws later, I was able to fly FPV!

The EF-01 digital camera was very close in weight to the mini-figure, so flying performance was comparable. Unfortunately for me, my camera died before I may fly it more than a few brief flights (the digicam already had points from it is automobile obligation days). for positive, although, I can be ordering a brand new camera.
Summary
I have had quite a lot of fun with this quad. It is a good flyer, has good battery life, and has plenty of power. My children also prefer it - they may add Legos to it and construct cockpits and other stuff. The quad can elevate a good quantity, but it should run out of energy in about a dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it simply bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps don't routinely imply crashes - which is sweet for studying to fly. Overall I actually favored this quad, and provides it two thumbs up!
