Review Eachine E011 Mini

Today I'm wanting at the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that's another "Inductrix Clone". The headline function that makes it stand out it the top plate has constructing block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that gets to trip the quad like a skateboard. 
Fun, right? Well, let's get into this evaluation, and see if this is "just one other clone" or if it might stand out...
Flying
Plug in the battery, and the quad LED's give a sluggish blink. Switch on the remote, and the quad LED's go to a fast blink as they bind, then give steady on once it is able to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig will not be loaded, the quad will virtually leap into the air. Without the extra weight of the mini-figure, there may be nearly not enough down throttle - it's powerful to hover easy because you're a the very bottom end of the throttle range. Add the little man, or different cargo, and it smooths out. Remember these 716 motors? yea, they've the power! Loaded up, the quad continues to be very zippy, and climbs comfortable and rapidly. Throttle blips are rewarded with nice hops within the air. Flying is smooth. The quad does have two "charge" modes, high and low. the small button beneath the throttle switches modes - one press gives a double beep for prime rates, one other press provides one beep for low charges. In low, it moves round easily, and pace / tilt / yaw are easy to handle. In High, it get a bit extra spirited. Still straightforward to manage, however will keep learners on their toes because it zips round. Experienced pilots will more than likely want to bounce straight to the high charges. Overall, the only bad behavior I found with the quad is with the throttle low vary. I wish it was a bit smoother on the underside finish, because it appears to cut power typically when I am descending. And, as mentioned before - flying unloaded, it nearly will not hover, due to this.
Battery life
Battery life is nice. I used to be consistently getting 6 minutes with the stock battery. One flight, I ran the first Three-4 minutes with the mini-figure, then the last half without and got a stable 7 minutes flight. Overall, I like the stock battery, no complaints. I did also fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I purchased for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are only flying for 5 minutes, with a noticeable lower in punch. They do fly the quad good, however the inventory battery is better. As a side note, Banggood sells a 5-pack of those batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So we have now a fantastic flying quad, with good battery life, and energy to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV digicam that I had used to FPV a small RC car, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 got here with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was an exact match for some unused mounting holes on the top of the quad. The most important battery plug for the quad was situated so that it was straightforward to solder on the camera energy lead, so a number of screws later, I was able to fly FPV!

The EF-01 digicam was very shut in weight to the mini-figure, so flying performance was related. Unfortunately for me, my camera died before I might fly it various quick flights (the digital camera already had issues from it's automobile obligation days). for positive, although, I will be ordering a brand new digicam.
Summary
I have had a variety of enjoyable with this quad. It is an efficient flyer, has good battery life, and has loads of power. My children additionally like it - they may add Legos to it and construct cockpits and other stuff. The quad can carry a decent quantity, however it should run out of power in about a dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it simply bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps do not automatically imply crashes - which is nice for studying to fly. Overall I really liked this quad, and give it two thumbs up!
