Review Eachine E011 Mini
Banggood.com
Today I am trying on the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that's another "Inductrix Clone". The headline feature that makes it stand out it the top plate has constructing block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that gets to journey the quad like a skateboard. Fun, right? Well, let's get into this evaluate, and see if that is "just one other clone" or if it will possibly stand out...
Flying
Plug in the battery, and the quad LED's give a gradual blink. Switch on the remote, and the quad LED's go to a fast blink as they bind, then give steady on as soon as it is ready to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig is not loaded, the quad will virtually leap into the air. Without the extra weight of the mini-figure, there may be almost not sufficient down throttle - it is tough to hover clean because you are a the very backside end of the throttle vary. Add the little man, or different cargo, and it smooths out. Remember these 716 motors? yea, they've the facility! Loaded up, the quad continues to be very zippy, and climbs happy and quickly. Throttle blips are rewarded with good hops within the air. Flying is clean. The quad does have two "fee" modes, high and low. the small button beneath the throttle switches modes - one press offers a double beep for high charges, another press provides one beep for low charges. In low, it strikes round smoothly, and pace / tilt / yaw are straightforward to handle. In High, it get a bit extra spirited. Still easy to manage, but will hold beginners on their toes as it zips round. Experienced pilots will most definitely want to leap straight to the excessive charges. Overall, the one unhealthy habit I found with the quad is with the throttle low range. I wish it was a bit smoother on the bottom end, because it seems to chop energy typically when I am descending. And, as mentioned earlier than - flying unloaded, it nearly won't hover, on account of this.

Battery life
Battery life is good. I used to be constantly getting 6 minutes with the inventory battery. One flight, I ran the first Three-Four minutes with the mini-figure, then the last half without and bought a strong 7 minutes flight. Overall, I like the stock battery, no complaints. I did additionally fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I purchased for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are only flying for 5 minutes, with a noticeable lower in punch. They do fly the quad good, but the stock battery is better. As a aspect word, Banggood sells a 5-pack of those batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So we have now an important flying quad, with good battery life, and energy to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV digital camera that I had used to FPV a small RC automotive, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 came with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was an exact match for some unused mounting holes on the top of the quad. The major battery plug for the quad was positioned so that it was easy to solder on the camera energy lead, so a few screws later, I used to be able to fly FPV!
Camera power wires soldered to the back aspect of the quad's battery plug
The EF-01 digital camera was very shut in weight to the mini-figure, so flying efficiency was similar. Unfortunately for me, my camera died earlier than I could fly it more than a few brief flights (the digital camera already had points from it's automobile responsibility days). for certain, although, I can be ordering a brand new digicam.
Summary
I've had a whole lot of enjoyable with this quad. It is a good flyer, has good battery life, and has plenty of energy. My youngsters additionally like it - they'll add Legos to it and build cockpits and different stuff. The quad can raise a good quantity, but it should run out of power in about a dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it simply bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps do not automatically mean crashes - which is good for learning to fly. Overall I actually favored this quad, and provides it two thumbs up!
