Review Eachine E011 Mini
Banggood.com
Today I am trying at the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that's one other "Inductrix Clone". The headline function that makes it stand out it the highest plate has constructing block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that gets to experience the quad like a skateboard. Fun, proper? Well, let's get into this review, and see if this is "just one other clone" or if it may possibly stand out...
Flying
Plug within the battery, and the quad LED's give a sluggish blink. Switch on the distant, and the quad LED's go to a quick blink as they bind, then give steady on once it is ready to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig just isn't loaded, the quad will virtually leap into the air. Without the additional weight of the mini-figure, there's virtually not sufficient down throttle - it's robust to hover clean as a result of you're a the very backside finish of the throttle vary. Add the little man, or other cargo, and it smooths out. Remember those 716 motors? yea, they have the facility! Loaded up, the quad is still very zippy, and climbs joyful and shortly. Throttle blips are rewarded with nice hops in the air. Flying is smooth. The quad does have two "charge" modes, low and high. the small button beneath the throttle switches modes - one press offers a double beep for high charges, one other press provides one beep for low charges. In low, it strikes around easily, and speed / tilt / yaw are easy to handle. In High, it get a bit more spirited. Still straightforward to control, however will hold novices on their toes because it zips round. Experienced pilots will most probably want to jump straight to the excessive charges. Overall, the only unhealthy behavior I found with the quad is with the throttle low range. I want it was a bit smoother on the bottom end, because it seems to cut energy often when I'm descending. And, as talked about earlier than - flying unloaded, it virtually won't hover, as a consequence of this.

Battery life
Battery life is sweet. I used to be consistently getting 6 minutes with the inventory battery. One flight, I ran the primary Three-Four minutes with the mini-figure, then the last half with out and got a stable 7 minutes flight. Overall, I just like the inventory battery, no complaints. I did additionally fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I purchased for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are only flying for five minutes, with a noticeable lower in punch. They do fly the quad good, but the inventory battery is best. As a aspect be aware, Banggood sells a 5-pack of these batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So we have now an important flying quad, with good battery life, and power to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV digicam that I had used to FPV a small RC automobile, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 got here with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was a precise fit for some unused mounting holes on the highest of the quad. The predominant battery plug for the quad was situated so that it was simple to solder on the digicam energy lead, so a number of screws later, I was ready to fly FPV!
Camera energy wires soldered to the back facet of the quad's battery plug
The EF-01 digital camera was very shut in weight to the mini-figure, so flying performance was related. Unfortunately for me, my camera died before I might fly it various brief flights (the camera already had points from it's automobile responsibility days). for sure, though, I will probably be ordering a new digital camera.
Summary
I have had a variety of fun with this quad. It is an efficient flyer, has good battery life, and has plenty of energy. My youngsters also prefer it - they are going to add Legos to it and construct cockpits and other stuff. The quad can raise an honest amount, however it'll run out of power in about a dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it simply bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps don't mechanically mean crashes - which is nice for learning to fly. Overall I really liked this quad, and provides it two thumbs up!
