Review Eachine E011 Mini

Today I'm wanting on the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that is another "Inductrix Clone". The headline characteristic that makes it stand out it the top plate has building block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that gets to trip the quad like a skateboard. 
Fun, right? Well, let's get into this evaluation, and see if that is "just one other clone" or if it might stand out...
Flying
Plug within the battery, and the quad LED's give a gradual blink. Switch on the distant, and the quad LED's go to a fast blink as they bind, then give regular on as soon as it is ready to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig isn't loaded, the quad will virtually leap into the air. Without the extra weight of the mini-figure, there is virtually not enough down throttle - it's powerful to hover clean as a result of you are a the very bottom finish of the throttle vary. Add the little man, or different cargo, and it smooths out. Remember those 716 motors? yea, they've the facility! Loaded up, the quad is still very zippy, and climbs joyful and shortly. Throttle blips are rewarded with nice hops in the air. Flying is smooth. The quad does have two "charge" modes, high and low. the small button below the throttle switches modes - one press offers a double beep for high charges, another press offers one beep for low charges. In low, it strikes round easily, and pace / tilt / yaw are simple to handle. In High, it get a bit more spirited. Still straightforward to manage, but will keep newbies on their toes as it zips round. Experienced pilots will almost certainly need to jump straight to the high charges. Overall, the only unhealthy habit I discovered with the quad is with the throttle low vary. I want it was a bit smoother on the bottom finish, as it appears to chop energy often when I'm descending. And, as mentioned earlier than - flying unloaded, it almost will not hover, resulting from this.
Battery life
Battery life is good. I was persistently getting 6 minutes with the inventory battery. One flight, I ran the primary 3-Four minutes with the mini-figure, then the last half with out and got a solid 7 minutes flight. Overall, I just like the stock battery, no complaints. I did additionally fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I purchased for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are only flying for 5 minutes, with a noticeable lower in punch. They do fly the quad good, but the stock battery is best. As a side notice, Banggood sells a 5-pack of these batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So we've got an excellent flying quad, with good battery life, and power to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV camera that I had used to FPV a small RC automotive, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 came with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was an actual match for some unused mounting holes on the highest of the quad. The predominant battery plug for the quad was positioned in order that it was easy to solder on the digicam power lead, so a number of screws later, I was able to fly FPV!

The EF-01 digital camera was very close in weight to the mini-figure, so flying performance was similar. Unfortunately for me, my digicam died before I might fly it more than a few quick flights (the digital camera already had issues from it is car responsibility days). for certain, though, I can be ordering a brand new camera.
Summary
I've had a whole lot of enjoyable with this quad. It is an efficient flyer, has good battery life, and has plenty of energy. My children additionally like it - they may add Legos to it and build cockpits and different stuff. The quad can raise a decent quantity, however it would run out of power in a few dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it easily bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps do not mechanically imply crashes - which is nice for learning to fly. Overall I actually appreciated this quad, and give it two thumbs up!
