Review Eachine E011 Mini

Today I'm wanting at the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that's one other "Inductrix Clone". The headline characteristic that makes it stand out it the top plate has constructing block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that will get to journey the quad like a skateboard. 
Fun, proper? Well, let's get into this evaluation, and see if that is "simply one other clone" or if it will probably stand out...
Flying
Plug within the battery, and the quad LED's give a gradual blink. Switch on the remote, and the quad LED's go to a fast blink as they bind, then give regular on once it is ready to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig isn't loaded, the quad will practically leap into the air. Without the additional weight of the mini-figure, there's almost not sufficient down throttle - it is robust to hover clean because you're a the very backside end of the throttle vary. Add the little man, or other cargo, and it smooths out. Remember these 716 motors? yea, they have the facility! Loaded up, the quad remains to be very zippy, and climbs completely happy and rapidly. Throttle blips are rewarded with good hops in the air. Flying is smooth. The quad does have two "charge" modes, high and low. the small button beneath the throttle switches modes - one press provides a double beep for top charges, one other press provides one beep for low charges. In low, it strikes round smoothly, and velocity / tilt / yaw are straightforward to manage. In High, it get a bit extra spirited. Still simple to control, however will keep newbies on their toes because it zips round. Experienced pilots will most probably wish to bounce straight to the excessive charges. Overall, the only bad behavior I found with the quad is with the throttle low range. I wish it was a bit smoother on the bottom end, as it appears to cut power typically when I'm descending. And, as talked about before - flying unloaded, it nearly will not hover, resulting from this.
Battery life
Battery life is sweet. I was constantly getting 6 minutes with the inventory battery. One flight, I ran the primary 3-Four minutes with the mini-figure, then the last half without and bought a solid 7 minutes flight. Overall, I just like the stock battery, no complaints. I did additionally fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I bought for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are only flying for 5 minutes, with a noticeable lower in punch. They do fly the quad good, but the stock battery is better. As a facet be aware, Banggood sells a 5-pack of these batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So we've an amazing flying quad, with good battery life, and power to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV digital camera that I had used to FPV a small RC automobile, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 got here with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was an actual fit for some unused mounting holes on the highest of the quad. The primary battery plug for the quad was located so that it was simple to solder on the digicam energy lead, so a couple of screws later, I was able to fly FPV!

The EF-01 camera was very shut in weight to the mini-figure, so flying efficiency was related. Unfortunately for me, my digital camera died before I might fly it more than a few quick flights (the digicam already had issues from it's automotive obligation days). for certain, although, I will likely be ordering a new digital camera.
Summary
I have had a variety of enjoyable with this quad. It is an effective flyer, has good battery life, and has loads of energy. My kids also like it - they'll add Legos to it and build cockpits and other stuff. The quad can carry an honest quantity, but it's going to run out of power in about a dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it easily bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps don't routinely imply crashes - which is sweet for studying to fly. Overall I actually favored this quad, and give it two thumbs up!
