Review Eachine E011 Mini

Today I am trying at the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that's another "Inductrix Clone". The headline function that makes it stand out it the highest plate has building block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that will get to ride the quad like a skateboard. 
Fun, proper? Well, let's get into this evaluation, and see if that is "just one other clone" or if it might probably stand out...
Flying
Plug in the battery, and the quad LED's give a gradual blink. Switch on the distant, and the quad LED's go to a quick blink as they bind, then give steady on as soon as it is ready to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig just isn't loaded, the quad will practically leap into the air. Without the additional weight of the mini-figure, there's virtually not enough down throttle - it's robust to hover easy as a result of you're a the very bottom finish of the throttle vary. Add the little man, or different cargo, and it smooths out. Remember these 716 motors? yea, they've the ability! Loaded up, the quad remains to be very zippy, and climbs comfortable and quickly. Throttle blips are rewarded with nice hops within the air. Flying is clean. The quad does have two "price" modes, low and high. the small button beneath the throttle switches modes - one press provides a double beep for high charges, one other press provides one beep for low rates. In low, it strikes around easily, and pace / tilt / yaw are straightforward to handle. In High, it get a bit extra spirited. Still easy to regulate, but will maintain beginners on their toes because it zips around. Experienced pilots will most probably need to leap straight to the excessive rates. Overall, the only bad behavior I discovered with the quad is with the throttle low vary. I wish it was a bit smoother on the underside end, because it appears to chop power usually when I'm descending. And, as mentioned before - flying unloaded, it virtually will not hover, attributable to this.
Battery life
Battery life is good. I used to be consistently getting 6 minutes with the inventory battery. One flight, I ran the first 3-Four minutes with the mini-figure, then the final half with out and got a solid 7 minutes flight. Overall, I like the inventory battery, no complaints. I did also fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I purchased for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are solely flying for five minutes, with a noticeable decrease in punch. They do fly the quad good, however the stock battery is healthier. As a side be aware, Banggood sells a 5-pack of those batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So we have now a terrific flying quad, with good battery life, and power to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV camera that I had used to FPV a small RC automotive, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 came with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was a precise fit for some unused mounting holes on the top of the quad. The principal battery plug for the quad was situated in order that it was straightforward to solder on the digicam energy lead, so a couple of screws later, I used to be able to fly FPV!

The EF-01 camera was very close in weight to the mini-figure, so flying efficiency was related. Unfortunately for me, my digicam died earlier than I could fly it various short flights (the camera already had points from it's automotive responsibility days). for positive, although, I will be ordering a new digital camera.
Summary
I have had lots of enjoyable with this quad. It is an efficient flyer, has good battery life, and has loads of energy. My children also like it - they are going to add Legos to it and build cockpits and different stuff. The quad can carry a good amount, however it would run out of power in a few dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it simply bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps do not mechanically imply crashes - which is sweet for studying to fly. Overall I really preferred this quad, and give it two thumbs up!
