Review Eachine E011 Mini
Banggood.com
Today I'm trying on the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that is one other "Inductrix Clone". The headline function that makes it stand out it the highest plate has building block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that gets to trip the quad like a skateboard. Fun, right? Well, let's get into this review, and see if that is "just one other clone" or if it will probably stand out...
Flying
Plug in the battery, and the quad LED's give a sluggish blink. Switch on the remote, and the quad LED's go to a fast blink as they bind, then give regular on as soon as it is ready to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig isn't loaded, the quad will virtually leap into the air. Without the additional weight of the mini-figure, there is virtually not enough down throttle - it is tough to hover easy as a result of you are a the very backside finish of the throttle range. Add the little man, or different cargo, and it smooths out. Remember those 716 motors? yea, they have the power! Loaded up, the quad is still very zippy, and climbs pleased and shortly. Throttle blips are rewarded with good hops in the air. Flying is smooth. The quad does have two "charge" modes, high and low. the small button below the throttle switches modes - one press provides a double beep for prime rates, another press provides one beep for low rates. In low, it moves round easily, and speed / tilt / yaw are easy to handle. In High, it get a bit more spirited. Still simple to regulate, however will maintain newbies on their toes because it zips around. Experienced pilots will almost certainly wish to soar straight to the high charges. Overall, the one bad behavior I found with the quad is with the throttle low range. I want it was a bit smoother on the underside end, as it seems to chop energy usually when I am descending. And, as mentioned before - flying unloaded, it almost will not hover, as a result of this.

Battery life
Battery life is nice. I used to be constantly getting 6 minutes with the stock battery. One flight, I ran the first 3-Four minutes with the mini-figure, then the final half without and acquired a solid 7 minutes flight. Overall, I like the inventory battery, no complaints. I did additionally fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I bought for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are only flying for five minutes, with a noticeable lower in punch. They do fly the quad good, however the stock battery is best. As a facet be aware, Banggood sells a 5-pack of these batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So we have an excellent flying quad, with good battery life, and power to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV digital camera that I had used to FPV a small RC automotive, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 got here with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was an exact fit for some unused mounting holes on the highest of the quad. The important battery plug for the quad was situated so that it was straightforward to solder on the digicam energy lead, so a couple of screws later, I was able to fly FPV!
Camera energy wires soldered to the again facet of the quad's battery plug
The EF-01 camera was very close in weight to the mini-figure, so flying performance was similar. Unfortunately for me, my digicam died before I may fly it more than a few short flights (the digicam already had points from it's automobile duty days). for positive, although, I will be ordering a brand new digicam.
Summary
I've had numerous fun with this quad. It is a good flyer, has good battery life, and has plenty of power. My children additionally prefer it - they'll add Legos to it and build cockpits and other stuff. The quad can elevate a decent amount, but it will run out of power in about a dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it simply bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps do not routinely imply crashes - which is sweet for learning to fly. Overall I actually appreciated this quad, and give it two thumbs up!
