Review Eachine E011 Mini

Today I'm wanting on the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that is one other "Inductrix Clone". The headline feature that makes it stand out it the top plate has building block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that will get to journey the quad like a skateboard. 
Fun, right? Well, let's get into this overview, and see if this is "just one other clone" or if it might probably stand out...
Flying
Plug in the battery, and the quad LED's give a sluggish blink. Switch on the remote, and the quad LED's go to a quick blink as they bind, then give regular on once it is able to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig just isn't loaded, the quad will virtually leap into the air. Without the additional weight of the mini-figure, there's nearly not enough down throttle - it's powerful to hover clean because you are a the very backside end of the throttle range. Add the little man, or different cargo, and it smooths out. Remember those 716 motors? yea, they've the facility! Loaded up, the quad continues to be very zippy, and climbs completely happy and rapidly. Throttle blips are rewarded with good hops in the air. Flying is smooth. The quad does have two "charge" modes, high and low. the small button beneath the throttle switches modes - one press gives a double beep for top charges, another press offers one beep for low rates. In low, it moves round easily, and speed / tilt / yaw are simple to manage. In High, it get a bit more spirited. Still easy to manage, but will hold novices on their toes because it zips round. Experienced pilots will almost certainly want to jump straight to the high rates. Overall, the one bad habit I found with the quad is with the throttle low range. I want it was a bit smoother on the bottom end, as it appears to chop power typically when I am descending. And, as talked about earlier than - flying unloaded, it virtually will not hover, as a consequence of this.
Battery life
Battery life is good. I was constantly getting 6 minutes with the stock battery. One flight, I ran the primary Three-4 minutes with the mini-figure, then the last half without and bought a strong 7 minutes flight. Overall, I just like the inventory battery, no complaints. I did also fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I bought for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are solely flying for 5 minutes, with a noticeable decrease in punch. They do fly the quad good, however the inventory battery is best. As a facet notice, Banggood sells a 5-pack of these batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So we have now an incredible flying quad, with good battery life, and power to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV camera that I had used to FPV a small RC automotive, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 came with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was an actual fit for some unused mounting holes on the top of the quad. The fundamental battery plug for the quad was positioned so that it was simple to solder on the digicam power lead, so a few screws later, I was ready to fly FPV!

The EF-01 digital camera was very close in weight to the mini-figure, so flying performance was comparable. Unfortunately for me, my camera died earlier than I could fly it various quick flights (the camera already had issues from it is car obligation days). for positive, although, I shall be ordering a brand new digital camera.
Summary
I have had quite a lot of fun with this quad. It is an efficient flyer, has good battery life, and has loads of power. My youngsters additionally prefer it - they may add Legos to it and construct cockpits and different stuff. The quad can lift a good amount, however it is going to run out of energy in a few dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it easily bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps do not routinely mean crashes - which is sweet for learning to fly. Overall I actually appreciated this quad, and provides it two thumbs up!
