Review Eachine E011 Mini

Today I am wanting at the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that's another "Inductrix Clone". The headline feature that makes it stand out it the highest plate has building block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that gets to trip the quad like a skateboard. 
Fun, right? Well, let's get into this evaluate, and see if this is "simply one other clone" or if it may possibly stand out...
Flying
Plug within the battery, and the quad LED's give a gradual blink. Switch on the remote, and the quad LED's go to a quick blink as they bind, then give regular on as soon as it is ready to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig shouldn't be loaded, the quad will practically leap into the air. Without the extra weight of the mini-figure, there's almost not enough down throttle - it's powerful to hover easy as a result of you are a the very bottom finish of the throttle vary. Add the little man, or different cargo, and it smooths out. Remember those 716 motors? yea, they have the facility! Loaded up, the quad remains to be very zippy, and climbs pleased and quickly. Throttle blips are rewarded with good hops within the air. Flying is smooth. The quad does have two "price" modes, high and low. the small button beneath the throttle switches modes - one press offers a double beep for prime rates, another press offers one beep for low rates. In low, it moves around smoothly, and speed / tilt / yaw are straightforward to manage. In High, it get a bit more spirited. Still straightforward to control, however will preserve rookies on their toes as it zips round. Experienced pilots will most probably wish to leap straight to the excessive rates. Overall, the one dangerous behavior I found with the quad is with the throttle low vary. I want it was a bit smoother on the bottom end, as it seems to cut power usually when I am descending. And, as talked about before - flying unloaded, it virtually will not hover, due to this.
Battery life
Battery life is sweet. I was consistently getting 6 minutes with the inventory battery. One flight, I ran the primary 3-4 minutes with the mini-figure, then the last half without and received a stable 7 minutes flight. Overall, I just like the stock battery, no complaints. I did also fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I purchased for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are solely flying for 5 minutes, with a noticeable decrease in punch. They do fly the quad good, but the stock battery is best. As a aspect word, Banggood sells a 5-pack of those batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So we now have an incredible flying quad, with good battery life, and power to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV digicam that I had used to FPV a small RC automobile, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 got here with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was a precise match for some unused mounting holes on the top of the quad. The predominant battery plug for the quad was situated so that it was easy to solder on the camera energy lead, so a few screws later, I was ready to fly FPV!

The EF-01 digicam was very close in weight to the mini-figure, so flying efficiency was related. Unfortunately for me, my camera died before I may fly it quite a lot of quick flights (the camera already had issues from it's car obligation days). for positive, although, I might be ordering a new camera.
Summary
I have had plenty of enjoyable with this quad. It is an efficient flyer, has good battery life, and has loads of power. My children also prefer it - they may add Legos to it and construct cockpits and other stuff. The quad can elevate an honest amount, however it should run out of power in a few dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it easily bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps do not routinely mean crashes - which is nice for learning to fly. Overall I actually liked this quad, and give it two thumbs up!
