Review Eachine E011 Mini

Today I'm wanting at the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that is one other "Inductrix Clone". The headline feature that makes it stand out it the top plate has constructing block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that gets to ride the quad like a skateboard. 
Fun, proper? Well, let's get into this evaluation, and see if this is "simply another clone" or if it could actually stand out...
Flying
Plug within the battery, and the quad LED's give a sluggish blink. Switch on the distant, and the quad LED's go to a quick blink as they bind, then give regular on as soon as it is able to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig shouldn't be loaded, the quad will virtually leap into the air. Without the additional weight of the mini-figure, there may be virtually not sufficient down throttle - it is powerful to hover easy as a result of you are a the very backside finish of the throttle vary. Add the little man, or other cargo, and it smooths out. Remember these 716 motors? yea, they've the power! Loaded up, the quad is still very zippy, and climbs comfortable and shortly. Throttle blips are rewarded with nice hops in the air. Flying is clean. The quad does have two "charge" modes, low and high. the small button beneath the throttle switches modes - one press offers a double beep for top charges, one other press offers one beep for low charges. In low, it moves round smoothly, and speed / tilt / yaw are easy to manage. In High, it get a bit extra spirited. Still easy to regulate, but will keep inexperienced persons on their toes because it zips round. Experienced pilots will most likely wish to jump straight to the high rates. Overall, the one dangerous behavior I discovered with the quad is with the throttle low vary. I wish it was a bit smoother on the bottom finish, as it appears to cut energy typically when I'm descending. And, as mentioned before - flying unloaded, it nearly won't hover, attributable to this.
Battery life
Battery life is nice. I used to be consistently getting 6 minutes with the stock battery. One flight, I ran the primary 3-4 minutes with the mini-figure, then the final half without and obtained a stable 7 minutes flight. Overall, I like the inventory battery, no complaints. I did also fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I bought for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are only flying for five minutes, with a noticeable lower in punch. They do fly the quad good, however the stock battery is better. As a side observe, Banggood sells a 5-pack of those batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So now we have an important flying quad, with good battery life, and power to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV digicam that I had used to FPV a small RC automobile, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 got here with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was an exact match for some unused mounting holes on the highest of the quad. The fundamental battery plug for the quad was situated so that it was simple to solder on the digital camera energy lead, so a number of screws later, I used to be ready to fly FPV!

The EF-01 digital camera was very shut in weight to the mini-figure, so flying performance was comparable. Unfortunately for me, my digicam died earlier than I could fly it more than a few short flights (the digital camera already had points from it is automotive responsibility days). for certain, though, I can be ordering a brand new digital camera.
Summary
I've had plenty of enjoyable with this quad. It is an efficient flyer, has good battery life, and has plenty of power. My youngsters also like it - they may add Legos to it and construct cockpits and other stuff. The quad can elevate a decent amount, however it would run out of power in a few dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it easily bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps don't mechanically mean crashes - which is good for learning to fly. Overall I actually favored this quad, and give it two thumbs up!
