Review Eachine E011 Mini
Banggood.com
Today I'm trying at the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that is another "Inductrix Clone". The headline feature that makes it stand out it the top plate has building block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that will get to trip the quad like a skateboard. Fun, proper? Well, let's get into this review, and see if that is "just another clone" or if it might probably stand out...
Flying
Plug in the battery, and the quad LED's give a sluggish blink. Switch on the remote, and the quad LED's go to a quick blink as they bind, then give regular on as soon as it is able to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig shouldn't be loaded, the quad will virtually leap into the air. Without the extra weight of the mini-figure, there's virtually not enough down throttle - it's robust to hover smooth because you're a the very bottom end of the throttle range. Add the little man, or different cargo, and it smooths out. Remember those 716 motors? yea, they've the facility! Loaded up, the quad continues to be very zippy, and climbs completely satisfied and rapidly. Throttle blips are rewarded with good hops in the air. Flying is easy. The quad does have two "price" modes, low and high. the small button beneath the throttle switches modes - one press provides a double beep for high charges, one other press gives one beep for low charges. In low, it moves around easily, and speed / tilt / yaw are straightforward to manage. In High, it get a bit more spirited. Still easy to control, however will maintain newbies on their toes because it zips round. Experienced pilots will probably wish to leap straight to the high charges. Overall, the only dangerous habit I discovered with the quad is with the throttle low range. I want it was a bit smoother on the bottom finish, as it seems to cut energy often when I'm descending. And, as talked about earlier than - flying unloaded, it nearly will not hover, as a result of this.

Battery life
Battery life is good. I used to be consistently getting 6 minutes with the stock battery. One flight, I ran the primary 3-Four minutes with the mini-figure, then the final half without and acquired a solid 7 minutes flight. Overall, I like the inventory battery, no complaints. I did also fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I purchased for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are only flying for five minutes, with a noticeable decrease in punch. They do fly the quad good, but the stock battery is best. As a facet be aware, Banggood sells a 5-pack of these batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So we have now an awesome flying quad, with good battery life, and energy to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV digital camera that I had used to FPV a small RC automotive, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 got here with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was an actual fit for some unused mounting holes on the top of the quad. The main battery plug for the quad was located so that it was straightforward to solder on the digital camera energy lead, so a few screws later, I used to be able to fly FPV!
Camera energy wires soldered to the back side of the quad's battery plug
The EF-01 digicam was very shut in weight to the mini-figure, so flying efficiency was comparable. Unfortunately for me, my digital camera died earlier than I could fly it quite a lot of short flights (the digital camera already had issues from it's car obligation days). for sure, though, I shall be ordering a brand new digital camera.
Summary
I have had a variety of enjoyable with this quad. It is an efficient flyer, has good battery life, and has loads of power. My children also prefer it - they are going to add Legos to it and build cockpits and other stuff. The quad can lift a good quantity, but it can run out of power in about a dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it simply bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps don't routinely mean crashes - which is nice for learning to fly. Overall I actually favored this quad, and provides it two thumbs up!
