Review Eachine E011 Mini

Today I'm looking at the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that is another "Inductrix Clone". The headline function that makes it stand out it the top plate has constructing block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that will get to trip the quad like a skateboard. 
Fun, proper? Well, let's get into this evaluate, and see if that is "just one other clone" or if it will possibly stand out...
Flying
Plug within the battery, and the quad LED's give a slow blink. Switch on the remote, and the quad LED's go to a fast blink as they bind, then give regular on once it is ready to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig is not loaded, the quad will virtually leap into the air. Without the additional weight of the mini-figure, there's nearly not sufficient down throttle - it's powerful to hover easy because you're a the very bottom finish of the throttle vary. Add the little man, or different cargo, and it smooths out. Remember those 716 motors? yea, they've the facility! Loaded up, the quad continues to be very zippy, and climbs completely satisfied and quickly. Throttle blips are rewarded with good hops within the air. Flying is easy. The quad does have two "charge" modes, low and high. the small button beneath the throttle switches modes - one press offers a double beep for high rates, another press provides one beep for low charges. In low, it strikes around smoothly, and velocity / tilt / yaw are straightforward to manage. In High, it get a bit more spirited. Still simple to regulate, but will hold rookies on their toes as it zips round. Experienced pilots will most certainly want to soar straight to the high charges. Overall, the only bad habit I found with the quad is with the throttle low range. I want it was a bit smoother on the bottom end, as it appears to chop energy usually when I'm descending. And, as mentioned earlier than - flying unloaded, it almost won't hover, as a result of this.
Battery life
Battery life is sweet. I was persistently getting 6 minutes with the inventory battery. One flight, I ran the first 3-4 minutes with the mini-figure, then the last half with out and received a strong 7 minutes flight. Overall, I like the inventory battery, no complaints. I did also fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I purchased for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are solely flying for five minutes, with a noticeable lower in punch. They do fly the quad good, but the stock battery is healthier. As a facet note, Banggood sells a 5-pack of these batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So now we have a great flying quad, with good battery life, and energy to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV camera that I had used to FPV a small RC automotive, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 came with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was an exact match for some unused mounting holes on the highest of the quad. The principal battery plug for the quad was situated in order that it was simple to solder on the digital camera energy lead, so just a few screws later, I used to be able to fly FPV!

The EF-01 digicam was very close in weight to the mini-figure, so flying performance was comparable. Unfortunately for me, my digicam died earlier than I might fly it more than a few short flights (the digital camera already had issues from it is automotive duty days). for certain, though, I can be ordering a new digital camera.
Summary
I've had a whole lot of enjoyable with this quad. It is a good flyer, has good battery life, and has loads of power. My kids additionally prefer it - they will add Legos to it and build cockpits and different stuff. The quad can raise an honest amount, but it will run out of energy in a couple of dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it simply bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps don't robotically mean crashes - which is good for learning to fly. Overall I really preferred this quad, and give it two thumbs up!
