Review Eachine E011 Mini
Banggood.com
Today I am wanting on the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that's one other "Inductrix Clone". The headline feature that makes it stand out it the highest plate has constructing block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that will get to ride the quad like a skateboard. Fun, proper? Well, let's get into this evaluation, and see if this is "simply one other clone" or if it will possibly stand out...
Flying
Plug within the battery, and the quad LED's give a slow blink. Switch on the distant, and the quad LED's go to a quick blink as they bind, then give steady on once it is ready to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig isn't loaded, the quad will virtually leap into the air. Without the extra weight of the mini-figure, there is virtually not sufficient down throttle - it's robust to hover clean as a result of you are a the very bottom end of the throttle range. Add the little man, or different cargo, and it smooths out. Remember these 716 motors? yea, they have the power! Loaded up, the quad remains to be very zippy, and climbs completely happy and quickly. Throttle blips are rewarded with good hops in the air. Flying is clean. The quad does have two "rate" modes, low and high. the small button under the throttle switches modes - one press gives a double beep for top charges, one other press offers one beep for low rates. In low, it moves around easily, and speed / tilt / yaw are straightforward to handle. In High, it get a bit more spirited. Still straightforward to manage, however will maintain newbies on their toes as it zips around. Experienced pilots will most probably want to jump straight to the excessive rates. Overall, the only bad habit I discovered with the quad is with the throttle low vary. I wish it was a bit smoother on the underside finish, because it seems to cut power usually when I'm descending. And, as talked about earlier than - flying unloaded, it nearly won't hover, due to this.

Battery life
Battery life is sweet. I was persistently getting 6 minutes with the stock battery. One flight, I ran the primary Three-4 minutes with the mini-figure, then the last half without and obtained a strong 7 minutes flight. Overall, I like the inventory battery, no complaints. I did also fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I purchased for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are only flying for five minutes, with a noticeable lower in punch. They do fly the quad good, however the inventory battery is best. As a facet notice, Banggood sells a 5-pack of these batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So we've an excellent flying quad, with good battery life, and energy to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV digicam that I had used to FPV a small RC automotive, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 got here with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was an actual fit for some unused mounting holes on the highest of the quad. The fundamental battery plug for the quad was located so that it was easy to solder on the camera energy lead, so just a few screws later, I was able to fly FPV!
Camera power wires soldered to the back side of the quad's battery plug
The EF-01 camera was very shut in weight to the mini-figure, so flying performance was related. Unfortunately for me, my camera died earlier than I might fly it various short flights (the digital camera already had points from it's car responsibility days). for certain, though, I will be ordering a brand new camera.
Summary
I've had a variety of enjoyable with this quad. It is an efficient flyer, has good battery life, and has loads of energy. My youngsters additionally prefer it - they will add Legos to it and build cockpits and different stuff. The quad can carry an honest quantity, however it would run out of power in a couple of dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it simply bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps don't mechanically mean crashes - which is good for learning to fly. Overall I actually liked this quad, and provides it two thumbs up!
