Review Eachine E011 Mini

Today I am trying at the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that is another "Inductrix Clone". The headline feature that makes it stand out it the top plate has constructing block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that will get to ride the quad like a skateboard. 
Fun, proper? Well, let's get into this assessment, and see if that is "simply another clone" or if it will probably stand out...
Flying
Plug within the battery, and the quad LED's give a slow blink. Switch on the distant, and the quad LED's go to a fast blink as they bind, then give steady on as soon as it is able to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig shouldn't be loaded, the quad will virtually leap into the air. Without the additional weight of the mini-figure, there's virtually not sufficient down throttle - it's powerful to hover easy as a result of you're a the very backside finish of the throttle vary. Add the little man, or different cargo, and it smooths out. Remember those 716 motors? yea, they've the power! Loaded up, the quad is still very zippy, and climbs comfortable and shortly. Throttle blips are rewarded with nice hops within the air. Flying is easy. The quad does have two "rate" modes, high and low. the small button under the throttle switches modes - one press provides a double beep for high rates, another press gives one beep for low rates. In low, it moves round easily, and speed / tilt / yaw are simple to manage. In High, it get a bit extra spirited. Still simple to manage, but will maintain beginners on their toes as it zips round. Experienced pilots will probably want to leap straight to the excessive rates. Overall, the one bad behavior I discovered with the quad is with the throttle low range. I want it was a bit smoother on the underside end, because it seems to cut power often when I'm descending. And, as mentioned earlier than - flying unloaded, it almost will not hover, as a result of this.
Battery life
Battery life is good. I was persistently getting 6 minutes with the inventory battery. One flight, I ran the primary Three-4 minutes with the mini-figure, then the final half with out and got a strong 7 minutes flight. Overall, I like the inventory battery, no complaints. I did additionally fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I bought for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are only flying for five minutes, with a noticeable lower in punch. They do fly the quad good, however the inventory battery is best. As a aspect be aware, Banggood sells a 5-pack of those batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So now we have an incredible flying quad, with good battery life, and power to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV digicam that I had used to FPV a small RC automotive, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 came with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was an actual fit for some unused mounting holes on the top of the quad. The major battery plug for the quad was positioned in order that it was straightforward to solder on the digicam energy lead, so a few screws later, I used to be ready to fly FPV!

The EF-01 digicam was very shut in weight to the mini-figure, so flying efficiency was related. Unfortunately for me, my camera died earlier than I might fly it various short flights (the digital camera already had issues from it is car obligation days). for sure, although, I might be ordering a brand new digicam.
Summary
I have had lots of fun with this quad. It is an efficient flyer, has good battery life, and has plenty of power. My youngsters additionally like it - they will add Legos to it and construct cockpits and other stuff. The quad can carry a decent quantity, but it should run out of power in a couple of dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it easily bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps do not mechanically mean crashes - which is nice for learning to fly. Overall I really liked this quad, and give it two thumbs up!
