Today I'm looking at the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that's another "Inductrix Clone". The headline function that makes it stand out it the top plate has building block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that will get to journey the quad like a skateboard. 
Fun, proper? Well, let's get into this overview, and see if that is "simply another clone" or if it will possibly stand out...
Flying
Plug in the battery, and the quad LED's give a gradual blink. Switch on the remote, and the quad LED's go to a fast blink as they bind, then give regular on once it is able to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig is not loaded, the quad will practically leap into the air. Without the additional weight of the mini-figure, there is virtually not sufficient down throttle - it is tough to hover easy because you are a the very backside finish of the throttle range. Add the little man, or different cargo, and it smooths out. Remember those 716 motors? yea, they've the ability! Loaded up, the quad remains to be very zippy, and climbs blissful and rapidly. Throttle blips are rewarded with nice hops in the air. Flying is clean. The quad does have two "price" modes, low and high. the small button beneath the throttle switches modes - one press offers a double beep for high rates, another press gives one beep for low charges. In low, it moves around easily, and speed / tilt / yaw are easy to manage. In High, it get a bit extra spirited. Still simple to control, however will preserve freshmen on their toes as it zips round. Experienced pilots will most certainly wish to leap straight to the high rates. Overall, the one bad habit I discovered with the quad is with the throttle low vary. I wish it was a bit smoother on the underside end, as it seems to cut energy often when I'm descending. And, as talked about earlier than - flying unloaded, it almost will not hover, resulting from this.
Battery life
Battery life is sweet. I was persistently getting 6 minutes with the inventory battery. One flight, I ran the primary 3-Four minutes with the mini-figure, then the final half with out and got a strong 7 minutes flight. Overall, I like the inventory battery, no complaints. I did additionally fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I purchased for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are solely flying for five minutes, with a noticeable lower in punch. They do fly the quad good, however the inventory battery is best. As a side notice, Banggood sells a 5-pack of these batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So we've an amazing flying quad, with good battery life, and power to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV digital camera that I had used to FPV a small RC automotive, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 got here with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was a precise fit for some unused mounting holes on the top of the quad. The primary battery plug for the quad was situated in order that it was simple to solder on the camera power lead, so a number of screws later, I was able to fly FPV!

The EF-01 digital camera was very close in weight to the mini-figure, so flying performance was comparable. Unfortunately for me, my digicam died before I might fly it more than a few quick flights (the digital camera already had points from it's car responsibility days). for positive, though, I shall be ordering a new digicam.
Summary
I've had loads of enjoyable with this quad. It is a good flyer, has good battery life, and has loads of energy. My youngsters additionally like it - they'll add Legos to it and build cockpits and different stuff. The quad can elevate an honest quantity, but it can run out of energy in a few dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it simply bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps don't automatically mean crashes - which is good for studying to fly. Overall I really preferred this quad, and give it two thumbs up!
