Review Eachine E011 Mini

Today I'm wanting at the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that is one other "Inductrix Clone". The headline feature that makes it stand out it the highest plate has building block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that will get to experience the quad like a skateboard. 
Fun, right? Well, let's get into this assessment, and see if this is "simply another clone" or if it can stand out...
Flying
Plug in the battery, and the quad LED's give a sluggish blink. Switch on the distant, and the quad LED's go to a fast blink as they bind, then give regular on once it is ready to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig is just not loaded, the quad will practically leap into the air. Without the extra weight of the mini-figure, there may be almost not enough down throttle - it's robust to hover smooth because you are a the very backside end of the throttle vary. Add the little man, or different cargo, and it smooths out. Remember these 716 motors? yea, they have the facility! Loaded up, the quad continues to be very zippy, and climbs pleased and shortly. Throttle blips are rewarded with good hops within the air. Flying is smooth. The quad does have two "fee" modes, high and low. the small button beneath the throttle switches modes - one press offers a double beep for high rates, one other press offers one beep for low charges. In low, it strikes around easily, and pace / tilt / yaw are easy to manage. In High, it get a bit more spirited. Still straightforward to manage, however will hold rookies on their toes because it zips round. Experienced pilots will most likely want to leap straight to the excessive charges. Overall, the only dangerous behavior I discovered with the quad is with the throttle low vary. I wish it was a bit smoother on the underside end, because it appears to cut energy usually when I am descending. And, as mentioned before - flying unloaded, it nearly won't hover, on account of this.
Battery life
Battery life is sweet. I used to be persistently getting 6 minutes with the inventory battery. One flight, I ran the first 3-Four minutes with the mini-figure, then the final half with out and obtained a strong 7 minutes flight. Overall, I just like the stock battery, no complaints. I did additionally fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I bought for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are solely flying for 5 minutes, with a noticeable lower in punch. They do fly the quad good, but the inventory battery is healthier. As a aspect be aware, Banggood sells a 5-pack of those batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So we've a great flying quad, with good battery life, and energy to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV camera that I had used to FPV a small RC car, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 came with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was a precise fit for some unused mounting holes on the top of the quad. The most important battery plug for the quad was situated in order that it was simple to solder on the camera energy lead, so a couple of screws later, I was able to fly FPV!

The EF-01 camera was very close in weight to the mini-figure, so flying performance was comparable. Unfortunately for me, my digicam died earlier than I may fly it various quick flights (the digicam already had points from it's automobile duty days). for positive, though, I shall be ordering a brand new digital camera.
Summary
I've had numerous fun with this quad. It is an efficient flyer, has good battery life, and has plenty of power. My children additionally prefer it - they'll add Legos to it and build cockpits and other stuff. The quad can elevate a decent amount, but it's going to run out of energy in a couple of dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it easily bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps do not robotically mean crashes - which is nice for studying to fly. Overall I actually appreciated this quad, and give it two thumbs up!
