Review Eachine E011 Mini

Today I'm wanting at the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that's one other "Inductrix Clone". The headline feature that makes it stand out it the highest plate has building block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that gets to trip the quad like a skateboard. 
Fun, proper? Well, let's get into this review, and see if that is "just one other clone" or if it could stand out...
Flying
Plug in the battery, and the quad LED's give a gradual blink. Switch on the remote, and the quad LED's go to a fast blink as they bind, then give regular on once it is ready to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig isn't loaded, the quad will virtually leap into the air. Without the additional weight of the mini-figure, there's nearly not enough down throttle - it's powerful to hover easy as a result of you're a the very backside end of the throttle vary. Add the little man, or other cargo, and it smooths out. Remember these 716 motors? yea, they've the facility! Loaded up, the quad continues to be very zippy, and climbs completely happy and shortly. Throttle blips are rewarded with good hops in the air. Flying is easy. The quad does have two "fee" modes, high and low. the small button beneath the throttle switches modes - one press provides a double beep for top rates, one other press gives one beep for low rates. In low, it moves around easily, and pace / tilt / yaw are simple to handle. In High, it get a bit more spirited. Still straightforward to manage, but will maintain beginners on their toes as it zips around. Experienced pilots will most definitely need to bounce straight to the high rates. Overall, the one bad habit I discovered with the quad is with the throttle low range. I wish it was a bit smoother on the bottom end, as it appears to cut power often when I'm descending. And, as talked about earlier than - flying unloaded, it virtually won't hover, on account of this.
Battery life
Battery life is nice. I used to be consistently getting 6 minutes with the stock battery. One flight, I ran the primary Three-4 minutes with the mini-figure, then the final half with out and got a solid 7 minutes flight. Overall, I like the inventory battery, no complaints. I did additionally fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I purchased for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are only flying for 5 minutes, with a noticeable decrease in punch. They do fly the quad good, however the stock battery is best. As a aspect note, Banggood sells a 5-pack of these batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So we've got an awesome flying quad, with good battery life, and energy to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV camera that I had used to FPV a small RC automobile, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 came with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was an actual fit for some unused mounting holes on the highest of the quad. The predominant battery plug for the quad was located so that it was straightforward to solder on the digital camera power lead, so a few screws later, I was ready to fly FPV!

The EF-01 camera was very shut in weight to the mini-figure, so flying efficiency was related. Unfortunately for me, my camera died before I might fly it various brief flights (the digicam already had issues from it's automobile responsibility days). for positive, though, I might be ordering a new camera.
Summary
I have had loads of fun with this quad. It is a good flyer, has good battery life, and has plenty of energy. My kids also prefer it - they may add Legos to it and construct cockpits and different stuff. The quad can carry a good amount, but it will run out of energy in a couple of dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it easily bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps don't routinely mean crashes - which is sweet for learning to fly. Overall I really liked this quad, and provides it two thumbs up!
