Review Eachine E011 Mini
Banggood.com
Today I am looking at the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that is another "Inductrix Clone". The headline function that makes it stand out it the highest plate has constructing block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that gets to journey the quad like a skateboard. Fun, proper? Well, let's get into this evaluate, and see if that is "just one other clone" or if it can stand out...
Flying
Plug in the battery, and the quad LED's give a slow blink. Switch on the remote, and the quad LED's go to a quick blink as they bind, then give steady on as soon as it is ready to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig shouldn't be loaded, the quad will practically leap into the air. Without the additional weight of the mini-figure, there is almost not enough down throttle - it is robust to hover smooth because you're a the very bottom finish of the throttle range. Add the little man, or different cargo, and it smooths out. Remember these 716 motors? yea, they have the facility! Loaded up, the quad continues to be very zippy, and climbs pleased and quickly. Throttle blips are rewarded with good hops in the air. Flying is easy. The quad does have two "rate" modes, high and low. the small button beneath the throttle switches modes - one press provides a double beep for top charges, one other press offers one beep for low charges. In low, it moves around easily, and speed / tilt / yaw are easy to handle. In High, it get a bit more spirited. Still simple to manage, but will maintain freshmen on their toes as it zips around. Experienced pilots will most likely wish to bounce straight to the high charges. Overall, the only bad behavior I found with the quad is with the throttle low range. I want it was a bit smoother on the bottom finish, as it seems to chop power often when I am descending. And, as mentioned earlier than - flying unloaded, it nearly won't hover, because of this.

Battery life
Battery life is nice. I used to be consistently getting 6 minutes with the inventory battery. One flight, I ran the primary 3-Four minutes with the mini-figure, then the last half with out and obtained a strong 7 minutes flight. Overall, I just like the inventory battery, no complaints. I did additionally fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I purchased for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are solely flying for five minutes, with a noticeable decrease in punch. They do fly the quad good, however the inventory battery is healthier. As a aspect note, Banggood sells a 5-pack of these batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So now we have an ideal flying quad, with good battery life, and power to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV digicam that I had used to FPV a small RC automotive, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 got here with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was an actual match for some unused mounting holes on the top of the quad. The foremost battery plug for the quad was positioned in order that it was easy to solder on the digicam power lead, so a number of screws later, I used to be able to fly FPV!
Camera energy wires soldered to the again aspect of the quad's battery plug
The EF-01 digicam was very close in weight to the mini-figure, so flying performance was comparable. Unfortunately for me, my camera died earlier than I could fly it more than a few brief flights (the camera already had issues from it's automobile obligation days). for positive, though, I might be ordering a brand new digital camera.
Summary
I've had quite a lot of fun with this quad. It is an efficient flyer, has good battery life, and has plenty of power. My kids additionally prefer it - they'll add Legos to it and construct cockpits and other stuff. The quad can lift a good amount, but it will run out of energy in a couple of dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it easily bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps do not robotically imply crashes - which is good for learning to fly. Overall I actually appreciated this quad, and give it two thumbs up!
