Review Eachine E011 Mini

Today I'm looking at the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that is another "Inductrix Clone". The headline feature that makes it stand out it the top plate has building block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that will get to trip the quad like a skateboard. 
Fun, proper? Well, let's get into this overview, and see if this is "simply one other clone" or if it may well stand out...
Flying
Plug within the battery, and the quad LED's give a slow blink. Switch on the distant, and the quad LED's go to a fast blink as they bind, then give steady on as soon as it is ready to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig is just not loaded, the quad will practically leap into the air. Without the extra weight of the mini-figure, there's nearly not enough down throttle - it is tough to hover easy because you are a the very backside end of the throttle vary. Add the little man, or other cargo, and it smooths out. Remember these 716 motors? yea, they have the power! Loaded up, the quad continues to be very zippy, and climbs joyful and shortly. Throttle blips are rewarded with good hops within the air. Flying is easy. The quad does have two "price" modes, high and low. the small button under the throttle switches modes - one press provides a double beep for prime charges, one other press provides one beep for low charges. In low, it strikes around smoothly, and pace / tilt / yaw are simple to manage. In High, it get a bit more spirited. Still easy to control, but will maintain rookies on their toes as it zips round. Experienced pilots will probably wish to jump straight to the excessive charges. Overall, the only unhealthy habit I found with the quad is with the throttle low range. I wish it was a bit smoother on the bottom end, as it seems to chop energy often when I am descending. And, as mentioned earlier than - flying unloaded, it nearly will not hover, due to this.
Battery life
Battery life is sweet. I was persistently getting 6 minutes with the inventory battery. One flight, I ran the first 3-Four minutes with the mini-figure, then the last half without and acquired a strong 7 minutes flight. Overall, I like the inventory battery, no complaints. I did also fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I purchased for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are only flying for five minutes, with a noticeable lower in punch. They do fly the quad good, but the inventory battery is healthier. As a facet note, Banggood sells a 5-pack of those batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So we have an amazing flying quad, with good battery life, and energy to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV digital camera that I had used to FPV a small RC automobile, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 came with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was an actual match for some unused mounting holes on the top of the quad. The major battery plug for the quad was located in order that it was easy to solder on the camera power lead, so a couple of screws later, I was ready to fly FPV!

The EF-01 digital camera was very shut in weight to the mini-figure, so flying performance was similar. Unfortunately for me, my digital camera died before I could fly it more than a few quick flights (the digital camera already had points from it's car duty days). for positive, though, I will be ordering a brand new camera.
Summary
I've had plenty of enjoyable with this quad. It is an effective flyer, has good battery life, and has plenty of energy. My children additionally like it - they'll add Legos to it and construct cockpits and other stuff. The quad can lift a good quantity, however it's going to run out of energy in a couple of dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it easily bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps do not mechanically imply crashes - which is sweet for studying to fly. Overall I really preferred this quad, and provides it two thumbs up!
