Review Eachine E011 Mini
Banggood.com
Today I'm wanting at the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that's another "Inductrix Clone". The headline feature that makes it stand out it the top plate has building block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that will get to journey the quad like a skateboard. Fun, right? Well, let's get into this assessment, and see if this is "just one other clone" or if it can stand out...
Flying
Plug within the battery, and the quad LED's give a gradual blink. Switch on the remote, and the quad LED's go to a quick blink as they bind, then give regular on as soon as it is able to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig just isn't loaded, the quad will practically leap into the air. Without the extra weight of the mini-figure, there may be nearly not enough down throttle - it's powerful to hover easy as a result of you are a the very bottom end of the throttle range. Add the little man, or different cargo, and it smooths out. Remember those 716 motors? yea, they've the power! Loaded up, the quad continues to be very zippy, and climbs glad and shortly. Throttle blips are rewarded with good hops within the air. Flying is easy. The quad does have two "price" modes, high and low. the small button beneath the throttle switches modes - one press gives a double beep for prime rates, one other press gives one beep for low charges. In low, it moves around easily, and pace / tilt / yaw are easy to handle. In High, it get a bit more spirited. Still easy to regulate, but will maintain rookies on their toes because it zips round. Experienced pilots will most certainly need to bounce straight to the excessive charges. Overall, the one unhealthy habit I found with the quad is with the throttle low range. I wish it was a bit smoother on the underside end, because it appears to cut energy usually when I am descending. And, as talked about before - flying unloaded, it almost won't hover, because of this.

Battery life
Battery life is sweet. I used to be consistently getting 6 minutes with the inventory battery. One flight, I ran the primary 3-4 minutes with the mini-figure, then the last half without and obtained a solid 7 minutes flight. Overall, I like the stock battery, no complaints. I did also fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I bought for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are only flying for 5 minutes, with a noticeable lower in punch. They do fly the quad good, however the stock battery is healthier. As a facet word, Banggood sells a 5-pack of these batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So we've an incredible flying quad, with good battery life, and energy to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV camera that I had used to FPV a small RC automobile, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 came with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was an actual fit for some unused mounting holes on the top of the quad. The major battery plug for the quad was situated in order that it was easy to solder on the digicam energy lead, so just a few screws later, I used to be ready to fly FPV!
Camera energy wires soldered to the back facet of the quad's battery plug
The EF-01 digital camera was very close in weight to the mini-figure, so flying performance was comparable. Unfortunately for me, my digicam died earlier than I might fly it more than a few quick flights (the camera already had issues from it's automobile duty days). for sure, although, I shall be ordering a brand new camera.
Summary
I have had lots of enjoyable with this quad. It is an effective flyer, has good battery life, and has loads of energy. My children additionally like it - they'll add Legos to it and construct cockpits and other stuff. The quad can elevate a good amount, however it is going to run out of energy in a few dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it simply bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps don't robotically mean crashes - which is sweet for studying to fly. Overall I actually favored this quad, and give it two thumbs up!

The E011 is the successor to the very popular E010
Now with 7mm motors, the power is much better so flight characteristics are much improved
Will feature FPV mods and firmware flashing videos...
