Review Eachine E011 Mini
Banggood.com
Today I am trying on the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that's another "Inductrix Clone". The headline feature that makes it stand out it the top plate has constructing block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that gets to journey the quad like a skateboard. Fun, right? Well, let's get into this overview, and see if this is "simply another clone" or if it could stand out...
Flying
Plug within the battery, and the quad LED's give a sluggish blink. Switch on the remote, and the quad LED's go to a fast blink as they bind, then give regular on once it is ready to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig is just not loaded, the quad will practically leap into the air. Without the additional weight of the mini-figure, there is almost not enough down throttle - it is powerful to hover easy as a result of you're a the very backside finish of the throttle range. Add the little man, or different cargo, and it smooths out. Remember those 716 motors? yea, they have the facility! Loaded up, the quad continues to be very zippy, and climbs joyful and quickly. Throttle blips are rewarded with nice hops in the air. Flying is clean. The quad does have two "rate" modes, low and high. the small button beneath the throttle switches modes - one press provides a double beep for prime charges, another press gives one beep for low charges. In low, it strikes around smoothly, and velocity / tilt / yaw are easy to manage. In High, it get a bit extra spirited. Still simple to regulate, however will preserve novices on their toes because it zips round. Experienced pilots will almost definitely need to leap straight to the high rates. Overall, the one unhealthy habit I discovered with the quad is with the throttle low range. I want it was a bit smoother on the bottom end, as it seems to cut power often when I am descending. And, as mentioned earlier than - flying unloaded, it nearly won't hover, as a consequence of this.

Battery life
Battery life is good. I was constantly getting 6 minutes with the inventory battery. One flight, I ran the first Three-4 minutes with the mini-figure, then the final half with out and got a strong 7 minutes flight. Overall, I like the inventory battery, no complaints. I did additionally fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I bought for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are only flying for 5 minutes, with a noticeable decrease in punch. They do fly the quad good, but the inventory battery is better. As a side notice, Banggood sells a 5-pack of those batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So we have an amazing flying quad, with good battery life, and energy to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV digicam that I had used to FPV a small RC car, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 came with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was an exact fit for some unused mounting holes on the top of the quad. The foremost battery plug for the quad was positioned in order that it was simple to solder on the digital camera energy lead, so a few screws later, I was able to fly FPV!
Camera energy wires soldered to the back facet of the quad's battery plug
The EF-01 digital camera was very close in weight to the mini-figure, so flying performance was related. Unfortunately for me, my digital camera died before I could fly it quite a lot of short flights (the digicam already had issues from it is car duty days). for certain, though, I will probably be ordering a new camera.
Summary
I have had a number of enjoyable with this quad. It is a good flyer, has good battery life, and has loads of energy. My children also like it - they are going to add Legos to it and construct cockpits and different stuff. The quad can elevate a decent amount, but it would run out of power in a couple of dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it simply bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps do not robotically imply crashes - which is sweet for learning to fly. Overall I really appreciated this quad, and give it two thumbs up!
