Review Eachine E011 Mini
Banggood.com
Today I'm trying at the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that's one other "Inductrix Clone". The headline characteristic that makes it stand out it the highest plate has building block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that gets to trip the quad like a skateboard. Fun, proper? Well, let's get into this evaluation, and see if this is "just another clone" or if it could actually stand out...
Flying
Plug in the battery, and the quad LED's give a sluggish blink. Switch on the remote, and the quad LED's go to a fast blink as they bind, then give steady on once it is able to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig isn't loaded, the quad will practically leap into the air. Without the additional weight of the mini-figure, there's nearly not sufficient down throttle - it is robust to hover clean because you are a the very backside finish of the throttle range. Add the little man, or different cargo, and it smooths out. Remember those 716 motors? yea, they have the facility! Loaded up, the quad remains to be very zippy, and climbs blissful and quickly. Throttle blips are rewarded with good hops within the air. Flying is smooth. The quad does have two "charge" modes, high and low. the small button under the throttle switches modes - one press gives a double beep for high rates, another press gives one beep for low charges. In low, it moves round easily, and velocity / tilt / yaw are easy to handle. In High, it get a bit more spirited. Still easy to regulate, but will preserve beginners on their toes as it zips around. Experienced pilots will almost definitely need to leap straight to the high rates. Overall, the only dangerous behavior I found with the quad is with the throttle low range. I want it was a bit smoother on the underside finish, because it seems to chop energy often when I am descending. And, as mentioned before - flying unloaded, it nearly won't hover, due to this.

Battery life
Battery life is nice. I used to be consistently getting 6 minutes with the stock battery. One flight, I ran the primary Three-4 minutes with the mini-figure, then the final half with out and got a solid 7 minutes flight. Overall, I like the inventory battery, no complaints. I did also fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I purchased for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are solely flying for 5 minutes, with a noticeable decrease in punch. They do fly the quad good, but the inventory battery is healthier. As a aspect word, Banggood sells a 5-pack of those batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So now we have an amazing flying quad, with good battery life, and energy to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV digicam that I had used to FPV a small RC automotive, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 came with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was an actual fit for some unused mounting holes on the top of the quad. The essential battery plug for the quad was located so that it was straightforward to solder on the digicam energy lead, so a number of screws later, I was ready to fly FPV!
Camera energy wires soldered to the again facet of the quad's battery plug
The EF-01 camera was very shut in weight to the mini-figure, so flying efficiency was related. Unfortunately for me, my digicam died earlier than I may fly it quite a lot of brief flights (the camera already had points from it is car obligation days). for certain, although, I will probably be ordering a brand new digital camera.
Summary
I have had lots of enjoyable with this quad. It is an efficient flyer, has good battery life, and has plenty of power. My children also like it - they are going to add Legos to it and build cockpits and other stuff. The quad can raise an honest amount, however it's going to run out of energy in about a dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it simply bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps don't mechanically mean crashes - which is good for studying to fly. Overall I really liked this quad, and provides it two thumbs up!
