Review Eachine E011 Mini

Today I'm wanting at the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that is another "Inductrix Clone". The headline function that makes it stand out it the highest plate has building block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that gets to journey the quad like a skateboard. 
Fun, proper? Well, let's get into this review, and see if this is "just one other clone" or if it can stand out...
Flying
Plug in the battery, and the quad LED's give a sluggish blink. Switch on the remote, and the quad LED's go to a quick blink as they bind, then give steady on as soon as it is ready to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig isn't loaded, the quad will virtually leap into the air. Without the extra weight of the mini-figure, there's almost not sufficient down throttle - it is tough to hover clean because you're a the very bottom finish of the throttle range. Add the little man, or different cargo, and it smooths out. Remember these 716 motors? yea, they've the facility! Loaded up, the quad is still very zippy, and climbs comfortable and shortly. Throttle blips are rewarded with good hops in the air. Flying is smooth. The quad does have two "rate" modes, low and high. the small button below the throttle switches modes - one press offers a double beep for high charges, another press gives one beep for low charges. In low, it strikes round smoothly, and velocity / tilt / yaw are easy to manage. In High, it get a bit extra spirited. Still straightforward to control, but will keep freshmen on their toes because it zips round. Experienced pilots will probably want to soar straight to the excessive rates. Overall, the one unhealthy behavior I found with the quad is with the throttle low range. I want it was a bit smoother on the bottom finish, as it appears to cut energy typically when I'm descending. And, as talked about earlier than - flying unloaded, it nearly will not hover, as a consequence of this.
Battery life
Battery life is nice. I used to be consistently getting 6 minutes with the inventory battery. One flight, I ran the first 3-Four minutes with the mini-figure, then the final half without and received a strong 7 minutes flight. Overall, I just like the inventory battery, no complaints. I did also fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I bought for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are solely flying for five minutes, with a noticeable decrease in punch. They do fly the quad good, but the stock battery is best. As a aspect observe, Banggood sells a 5-pack of these batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So we've got an excellent flying quad, with good battery life, and energy to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV digicam that I had used to FPV a small RC automobile, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 got here with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was an exact match for some unused mounting holes on the top of the quad. The major battery plug for the quad was located so that it was easy to solder on the camera power lead, so a couple of screws later, I was ready to fly FPV!

The EF-01 camera was very close in weight to the mini-figure, so flying efficiency was comparable. Unfortunately for me, my digicam died earlier than I might fly it quite a lot of quick flights (the digicam already had issues from it's car responsibility days). for positive, although, I will likely be ordering a new camera.
Summary
I've had a number of fun with this quad. It is a good flyer, has good battery life, and has plenty of power. My children additionally prefer it - they'll add Legos to it and build cockpits and other stuff. The quad can elevate an honest quantity, however it would run out of power in a couple of dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it easily bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps do not robotically imply crashes - which is good for studying to fly. Overall I actually liked this quad, and provides it two thumbs up!
