Review Eachine E011 Mini
Banggood.com
Today I'm looking on the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that is another "Inductrix Clone". The headline function that makes it stand out it the top plate has building block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that will get to ride the quad like a skateboard. Fun, proper? Well, let's get into this review, and see if that is "just another clone" or if it could stand out...
Flying
Plug within the battery, and the quad LED's give a sluggish blink. Switch on the distant, and the quad LED's go to a quick blink as they bind, then give regular on as soon as it is able to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig is just not loaded, the quad will virtually leap into the air. Without the additional weight of the mini-figure, there may be almost not enough down throttle - it is powerful to hover smooth as a result of you are a the very backside end of the throttle range. Add the little man, or different cargo, and it smooths out. Remember those 716 motors? yea, they've the ability! Loaded up, the quad remains to be very zippy, and climbs completely happy and shortly. Throttle blips are rewarded with good hops in the air. Flying is clean. The quad does have two "price" modes, high and low. the small button below the throttle switches modes - one press gives a double beep for prime charges, another press provides one beep for low rates. In low, it strikes round easily, and pace / tilt / yaw are simple to handle. In High, it get a bit more spirited. Still easy to regulate, but will maintain newcomers on their toes because it zips round. Experienced pilots will almost definitely need to leap straight to the high rates. Overall, the only bad habit I found with the quad is with the throttle low range. I wish it was a bit smoother on the bottom finish, because it appears to cut energy often when I am descending. And, as mentioned before - flying unloaded, it nearly will not hover, on account of this.

Battery life
Battery life is good. I used to be consistently getting 6 minutes with the stock battery. One flight, I ran the primary 3-4 minutes with the mini-figure, then the last half with out and got a stable 7 minutes flight. Overall, I just like the stock battery, no complaints. I did additionally fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I bought for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are solely flying for five minutes, with a noticeable lower in punch. They do fly the quad good, however the stock battery is healthier. As a facet notice, Banggood sells a 5-pack of those batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So now we have a terrific flying quad, with good battery life, and energy to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV digital camera that I had used to FPV a small RC car, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 got here with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was an exact fit for some unused mounting holes on the highest of the quad. The major battery plug for the quad was positioned in order that it was simple to solder on the digicam energy lead, so a few screws later, I used to be ready to fly FPV!
Camera power wires soldered to the again facet of the quad's battery plug
The EF-01 digicam was very shut in weight to the mini-figure, so flying efficiency was comparable. Unfortunately for me, my digital camera died before I may fly it quite a lot of quick flights (the digital camera already had issues from it's automobile duty days). for positive, though, I will probably be ordering a brand new digital camera.
Summary
I have had plenty of fun with this quad. It is an efficient flyer, has good battery life, and has plenty of energy. My children additionally prefer it - they will add Legos to it and build cockpits and other stuff. The quad can raise a decent amount, however it would run out of energy in about a dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it simply bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps don't mechanically imply crashes - which is good for studying to fly. Overall I actually appreciated this quad, and give it two thumbs up!
