Review Eachine E011 Mini

Today I'm wanting at the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that's one other "Inductrix Clone". The headline feature that makes it stand out it the highest plate has constructing block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that gets to experience the quad like a skateboard. 
Fun, right? Well, let's get into this overview, and see if that is "just another clone" or if it could possibly stand out...
Flying
Plug in the battery, and the quad LED's give a gradual blink. Switch on the distant, and the quad LED's go to a fast blink as they bind, then give steady on once it is ready to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig just isn't loaded, the quad will practically leap into the air. Without the extra weight of the mini-figure, there is nearly not enough down throttle - it's tough to hover clean because you are a the very bottom finish of the throttle range. Add the little man, or other cargo, and it smooths out. Remember those 716 motors? yea, they have the facility! Loaded up, the quad continues to be very zippy, and climbs joyful and shortly. Throttle blips are rewarded with nice hops within the air. Flying is easy. The quad does have two "rate" modes, low and high. the small button beneath the throttle switches modes - one press gives a double beep for prime charges, another press offers one beep for low rates. In low, it strikes around easily, and pace / tilt / yaw are simple to handle. In High, it get a bit more spirited. Still easy to manage, but will keep learners on their toes because it zips round. Experienced pilots will most definitely need to leap straight to the high charges. Overall, the one bad behavior I found with the quad is with the throttle low vary. I wish it was a bit smoother on the bottom end, as it appears to cut power usually when I am descending. And, as mentioned earlier than - flying unloaded, it virtually won't hover, as a consequence of this.
Battery life
Battery life is nice. I was consistently getting 6 minutes with the stock battery. One flight, I ran the first 3-4 minutes with the mini-figure, then the last half with out and obtained a stable 7 minutes flight. Overall, I just like the stock battery, no complaints. I did also fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I purchased for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are only flying for five minutes, with a noticeable lower in punch. They do fly the quad good, however the stock battery is best. As a facet notice, Banggood sells a 5-pack of those batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So we've an important flying quad, with good battery life, and power to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV camera that I had used to FPV a small RC automobile, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 came with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was a precise match for some unused mounting holes on the top of the quad. The predominant battery plug for the quad was located so that it was straightforward to solder on the camera power lead, so a number of screws later, I used to be ready to fly FPV!

The EF-01 camera was very close in weight to the mini-figure, so flying performance was similar. Unfortunately for me, my camera died before I might fly it more than a few quick flights (the digicam already had points from it's car responsibility days). for certain, though, I will likely be ordering a new digicam.
Summary
I have had a whole lot of fun with this quad. It is a good flyer, has good battery life, and has loads of energy. My kids also prefer it - they are going to add Legos to it and build cockpits and different stuff. The quad can elevate an honest amount, however it should run out of energy in a couple of dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it easily bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps don't automatically mean crashes - which is good for studying to fly. Overall I really appreciated this quad, and give it two thumbs up!
