Review Eachine E011 Mini

Today I am trying on the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that is another "Inductrix Clone". The headline function that makes it stand out it the highest plate has constructing block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that will get to journey the quad like a skateboard. 
Fun, proper? Well, let's get into this evaluation, and see if that is "simply another clone" or if it may well stand out...
Flying
Plug in the battery, and the quad LED's give a sluggish blink. Switch on the remote, and the quad LED's go to a quick blink as they bind, then give regular on as soon as it is able to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig shouldn't be loaded, the quad will virtually leap into the air. Without the extra weight of the mini-figure, there is nearly not enough down throttle - it's tough to hover clean because you're a the very backside finish of the throttle range. Add the little man, or different cargo, and it smooths out. Remember these 716 motors? yea, they have the ability! Loaded up, the quad is still very zippy, and climbs happy and shortly. Throttle blips are rewarded with nice hops in the air. Flying is easy. The quad does have two "rate" modes, low and high. the small button under the throttle switches modes - one press offers a double beep for high charges, one other press provides one beep for low rates. In low, it moves round easily, and velocity / tilt / yaw are straightforward to manage. In High, it get a bit extra spirited. Still easy to control, however will keep beginners on their toes because it zips round. Experienced pilots will most probably want to soar straight to the high rates. Overall, the one unhealthy behavior I found with the quad is with the throttle low range. I want it was a bit smoother on the bottom end, as it appears to cut energy usually when I'm descending. And, as mentioned earlier than - flying unloaded, it almost won't hover, as a result of this.
Battery life
Battery life is nice. I used to be persistently getting 6 minutes with the inventory battery. One flight, I ran the first Three-4 minutes with the mini-figure, then the final half with out and received a stable 7 minutes flight. Overall, I like the inventory battery, no complaints. I did additionally fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I bought for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are only flying for five minutes, with a noticeable decrease in punch. They do fly the quad good, however the inventory battery is healthier. As a aspect notice, Banggood sells a 5-pack of these batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So we have a terrific flying quad, with good battery life, and power to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV digicam that I had used to FPV a small RC car, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 came with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was an actual match for some unused mounting holes on the highest of the quad. The fundamental battery plug for the quad was positioned so that it was straightforward to solder on the digital camera power lead, so a couple of screws later, I was ready to fly FPV!

The EF-01 digicam was very shut in weight to the mini-figure, so flying performance was comparable. Unfortunately for me, my digital camera died before I could fly it various quick flights (the camera already had issues from it's automobile duty days). for certain, although, I might be ordering a new camera.
Summary
I've had plenty of fun with this quad. It is a good flyer, has good battery life, and has plenty of power. My children additionally like it - they are going to add Legos to it and construct cockpits and other stuff. The quad can elevate a good quantity, however it can run out of energy in about a dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it simply bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps do not robotically mean crashes - which is nice for learning to fly. Overall I really favored this quad, and give it two thumbs up!
