Review Eachine E011 Mini
Banggood.com
Today I am looking at the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that's another "Inductrix Clone". The headline feature that makes it stand out it the top plate has constructing block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that gets to journey the quad like a skateboard. Fun, right? Well, let's get into this evaluation, and see if that is "simply another clone" or if it can stand out...
Flying
Plug within the battery, and the quad LED's give a slow blink. Switch on the remote, and the quad LED's go to a quick blink as they bind, then give regular on as soon as it is ready to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig isn't loaded, the quad will practically leap into the air. Without the additional weight of the mini-figure, there is nearly not sufficient down throttle - it is robust to hover smooth as a result of you are a the very backside finish of the throttle range. Add the little man, or different cargo, and it smooths out. Remember those 716 motors? yea, they've the power! Loaded up, the quad remains to be very zippy, and climbs completely happy and quickly. Throttle blips are rewarded with nice hops within the air. Flying is easy. The quad does have two "fee" modes, low and high. the small button under the throttle switches modes - one press offers a double beep for top charges, one other press offers one beep for low charges. In low, it strikes round smoothly, and speed / tilt / yaw are straightforward to manage. In High, it get a bit more spirited. Still simple to control, however will preserve novices on their toes as it zips round. Experienced pilots will most certainly wish to bounce straight to the excessive charges. Overall, the only bad behavior I found with the quad is with the throttle low vary. I want it was a bit smoother on the bottom finish, because it appears to chop energy usually when I'm descending. And, as talked about earlier than - flying unloaded, it virtually will not hover, as a result of this.

Battery life
Battery life is nice. I used to be persistently getting 6 minutes with the inventory battery. One flight, I ran the first 3-4 minutes with the mini-figure, then the last half without and acquired a stable 7 minutes flight. Overall, I like the stock battery, no complaints. I did also fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I bought for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are solely flying for five minutes, with a noticeable lower in punch. They do fly the quad good, but the stock battery is best. As a side be aware, Banggood sells a 5-pack of these batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So we have a great flying quad, with good battery life, and power to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV digicam that I had used to FPV a small RC car, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 got here with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was an actual fit for some unused mounting holes on the highest of the quad. The foremost battery plug for the quad was located so that it was straightforward to solder on the digicam power lead, so a couple of screws later, I was able to fly FPV!
Camera power wires soldered to the again aspect of the quad's battery plug
The EF-01 camera was very close in weight to the mini-figure, so flying performance was related. Unfortunately for me, my digital camera died before I might fly it quite a lot of short flights (the camera already had points from it's automobile duty days). for sure, although, I will likely be ordering a new camera.
Summary
I've had plenty of enjoyable with this quad. It is a good flyer, has good battery life, and has plenty of energy. My children also prefer it - they are going to add Legos to it and build cockpits and other stuff. The quad can lift an honest quantity, but it will run out of power in a couple of dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it easily bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps don't automatically imply crashes - which is nice for learning to fly. Overall I actually liked this quad, and provides it two thumbs up!
