Review Eachine E011 Mini

Today I am wanting at the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that is another "Inductrix Clone". The headline characteristic that makes it stand out it the top plate has building block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that will get to journey the quad like a skateboard. 
Fun, right? Well, let's get into this assessment, and see if this is "simply one other clone" or if it can stand out...
Flying
Plug in the battery, and the quad LED's give a sluggish blink. Switch on the distant, and the quad LED's go to a quick blink as they bind, then give steady on once it is ready to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig isn't loaded, the quad will practically leap into the air. Without the extra weight of the mini-figure, there is virtually not enough down throttle - it is tough to hover clean because you're a the very bottom finish of the throttle range. Add the little man, or different cargo, and it smooths out. Remember these 716 motors? yea, they have the power! Loaded up, the quad is still very zippy, and climbs blissful and rapidly. Throttle blips are rewarded with nice hops within the air. Flying is smooth. The quad does have two "rate" modes, high and low. the small button below the throttle switches modes - one press offers a double beep for prime charges, another press gives one beep for low charges. In low, it strikes around smoothly, and velocity / tilt / yaw are simple to manage. In High, it get a bit extra spirited. Still easy to regulate, but will keep newcomers on their toes because it zips around. Experienced pilots will almost certainly need to jump straight to the high rates. Overall, the one dangerous habit I found with the quad is with the throttle low range. I want it was a bit smoother on the underside end, because it appears to cut energy typically when I am descending. And, as talked about before - flying unloaded, it nearly won't hover, as a consequence of this.
Battery life
Battery life is good. I was constantly getting 6 minutes with the stock battery. One flight, I ran the first Three-Four minutes with the mini-figure, then the last half without and bought a stable 7 minutes flight. Overall, I like the stock battery, no complaints. I did additionally fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I purchased for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are only flying for 5 minutes, with a noticeable decrease in punch. They do fly the quad good, however the stock battery is better. As a side notice, Banggood sells a 5-pack of these batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So we have a great flying quad, with good battery life, and power to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV camera that I had used to FPV a small RC automotive, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 came with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was an actual fit for some unused mounting holes on the top of the quad. The main battery plug for the quad was located so that it was simple to solder on the digicam power lead, so a few screws later, I used to be ready to fly FPV!

The EF-01 digital camera was very close in weight to the mini-figure, so flying performance was similar. Unfortunately for me, my camera died before I may fly it more than a few brief flights (the camera already had issues from it's automobile duty days). for certain, though, I shall be ordering a brand new digicam.
Summary
I've had plenty of enjoyable with this quad. It is an effective flyer, has good battery life, and has plenty of power. My kids also prefer it - they'll add Legos to it and construct cockpits and other stuff. The quad can lift a good quantity, however it is going to run out of power in a few dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it easily bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps do not routinely imply crashes - which is sweet for learning to fly. Overall I actually liked this quad, and give it two thumbs up!
