Review Eachine E011 Mini
Banggood.com
Today I'm wanting on the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that's another "Inductrix Clone". The headline characteristic that makes it stand out it the top plate has constructing block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that will get to ride the quad like a skateboard. Fun, right? Well, let's get into this evaluate, and see if this is "just another clone" or if it might probably stand out...
Flying
Plug in the battery, and the quad LED's give a sluggish blink. Switch on the remote, and the quad LED's go to a quick blink as they bind, then give regular on once it is able to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig is just not loaded, the quad will practically leap into the air. Without the additional weight of the mini-figure, there's nearly not enough down throttle - it's tough to hover easy because you are a the very backside end of the throttle vary. Add the little man, or other cargo, and it smooths out. Remember those 716 motors? yea, they have the ability! Loaded up, the quad remains to be very zippy, and climbs completely satisfied and rapidly. Throttle blips are rewarded with good hops within the air. Flying is easy. The quad does have two "rate" modes, low and high. the small button under the throttle switches modes - one press offers a double beep for prime charges, one other press gives one beep for low charges. In low, it moves around easily, and velocity / tilt / yaw are simple to manage. In High, it get a bit more spirited. Still simple to regulate, but will preserve inexperienced persons on their toes as it zips round. Experienced pilots will most certainly wish to bounce straight to the high charges. Overall, the only unhealthy behavior I discovered with the quad is with the throttle low vary. I want it was a bit smoother on the bottom finish, because it seems to cut energy typically when I'm descending. And, as talked about before - flying unloaded, it almost will not hover, on account of this.

Battery life
Battery life is sweet. I used to be persistently getting 6 minutes with the inventory battery. One flight, I ran the first Three-4 minutes with the mini-figure, then the last half with out and received a strong 7 minutes flight. Overall, I like the stock battery, no complaints. I did also fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I bought for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are only flying for 5 minutes, with a noticeable decrease in punch. They do fly the quad good, however the stock battery is best. As a aspect note, Banggood sells a 5-pack of these batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So now we have an important flying quad, with good battery life, and energy to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV camera that I had used to FPV a small RC automotive, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 came with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was an exact match for some unused mounting holes on the top of the quad. The major battery plug for the quad was located so that it was easy to solder on the digital camera energy lead, so a couple of screws later, I was able to fly FPV!
Camera power wires soldered to the back aspect of the quad's battery plug
The EF-01 digicam was very shut in weight to the mini-figure, so flying performance was similar. Unfortunately for me, my digital camera died earlier than I may fly it quite a lot of quick flights (the digicam already had issues from it is automotive obligation days). for positive, though, I shall be ordering a brand new camera.
Summary
I have had quite a lot of fun with this quad. It is an efficient flyer, has good battery life, and has plenty of power. My kids additionally prefer it - they may add Legos to it and build cockpits and different stuff. The quad can lift a good amount, but it will run out of power in about a dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it simply bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps don't mechanically imply crashes - which is good for studying to fly. Overall I really preferred this quad, and give it two thumbs up!
