Review Eachine E011 Mini

Today I am trying on the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that's one other "Inductrix Clone". The headline function that makes it stand out it the highest plate has building block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that gets to experience the quad like a skateboard. 
Fun, proper? Well, let's get into this evaluation, and see if that is "just one other clone" or if it could stand out...
Flying
Plug within the battery, and the quad LED's give a sluggish blink. Switch on the remote, and the quad LED's go to a fast blink as they bind, then give regular on as soon as it is able to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig isn't loaded, the quad will virtually leap into the air. Without the additional weight of the mini-figure, there's nearly not sufficient down throttle - it's robust to hover smooth as a result of you're a the very bottom end of the throttle vary. Add the little man, or different cargo, and it smooths out. Remember these 716 motors? yea, they've the ability! Loaded up, the quad continues to be very zippy, and climbs glad and shortly. Throttle blips are rewarded with good hops in the air. Flying is easy. The quad does have two "fee" modes, low and high. the small button below the throttle switches modes - one press gives a double beep for prime charges, another press offers one beep for low rates. In low, it moves around smoothly, and velocity / tilt / yaw are simple to manage. In High, it get a bit extra spirited. Still easy to manage, however will maintain novices on their toes as it zips round. Experienced pilots will almost certainly want to bounce straight to the high rates. Overall, the only unhealthy behavior I found with the quad is with the throttle low vary. I want it was a bit smoother on the bottom end, as it seems to cut power often when I am descending. And, as talked about earlier than - flying unloaded, it nearly won't hover, attributable to this.
Battery life
Battery life is sweet. I was constantly getting 6 minutes with the stock battery. One flight, I ran the first Three-Four minutes with the mini-figure, then the final half without and bought a stable 7 minutes flight. Overall, I just like the inventory battery, no complaints. I did also fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I purchased for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are only flying for five minutes, with a noticeable lower in punch. They do fly the quad good, however the stock battery is best. As a facet be aware, Banggood sells a 5-pack of these batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So we have now an excellent flying quad, with good battery life, and power to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV digicam that I had used to FPV a small RC automotive, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 came with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was an actual fit for some unused mounting holes on the highest of the quad. The major battery plug for the quad was situated in order that it was straightforward to solder on the digital camera energy lead, so a couple of screws later, I was able to fly FPV!

The EF-01 camera was very close in weight to the mini-figure, so flying performance was similar. Unfortunately for me, my digital camera died before I might fly it more than a few short flights (the digital camera already had issues from it's automobile duty days). for positive, though, I will be ordering a new digicam.
Summary
I've had numerous enjoyable with this quad. It is a good flyer, has good battery life, and has plenty of energy. My kids also prefer it - they will add Legos to it and build cockpits and different stuff. The quad can raise an honest amount, but it's going to run out of power in a couple of dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it simply bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps do not routinely imply crashes - which is good for learning to fly. Overall I really liked this quad, and give it two thumbs up!
