Review Eachine E011 Mini

Today I'm trying on the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that is one other "Inductrix Clone". The headline feature that makes it stand out it the highest plate has building block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that will get to ride the quad like a skateboard. 
Fun, right? Well, let's get into this assessment, and see if that is "simply another clone" or if it might stand out...
Flying
Plug within the battery, and the quad LED's give a sluggish blink. Switch on the distant, and the quad LED's go to a fast blink as they bind, then give regular on once it is able to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig is just not loaded, the quad will practically leap into the air. Without the additional weight of the mini-figure, there may be nearly not sufficient down throttle - it's powerful to hover clean as a result of you are a the very bottom end of the throttle range. Add the little man, or other cargo, and it smooths out. Remember those 716 motors? yea, they have the power! Loaded up, the quad continues to be very zippy, and climbs blissful and rapidly. Throttle blips are rewarded with good hops within the air. Flying is smooth. The quad does have two "fee" modes, low and high. the small button beneath the throttle switches modes - one press gives a double beep for prime rates, another press provides one beep for low charges. In low, it moves round easily, and speed / tilt / yaw are straightforward to handle. In High, it get a bit extra spirited. Still easy to manage, but will preserve inexperienced persons on their toes because it zips around. Experienced pilots will almost definitely need to jump straight to the high charges. Overall, the only unhealthy behavior I found with the quad is with the throttle low range. I want it was a bit smoother on the underside end, as it seems to cut energy usually when I'm descending. And, as talked about before - flying unloaded, it nearly won't hover, resulting from this.
Battery life
Battery life is sweet. I was persistently getting 6 minutes with the inventory battery. One flight, I ran the first 3-Four minutes with the mini-figure, then the final half without and obtained a strong 7 minutes flight. Overall, I like the stock battery, no complaints. I did also fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I purchased for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are solely flying for five minutes, with a noticeable lower in punch. They do fly the quad good, but the inventory battery is better. As a aspect be aware, Banggood sells a 5-pack of those batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So we've an excellent flying quad, with good battery life, and power to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV digital camera that I had used to FPV a small RC car, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 got here with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was an actual match for some unused mounting holes on the top of the quad. The primary battery plug for the quad was located in order that it was easy to solder on the digicam energy lead, so a few screws later, I was able to fly FPV!

The EF-01 camera was very shut in weight to the mini-figure, so flying efficiency was comparable. Unfortunately for me, my digital camera died earlier than I might fly it quite a lot of quick flights (the digital camera already had points from it is automotive responsibility days). for certain, although, I might be ordering a brand new digital camera.
Summary
I've had plenty of fun with this quad. It is an efficient flyer, has good battery life, and has loads of energy. My children additionally prefer it - they are going to add Legos to it and build cockpits and other stuff. The quad can lift a decent quantity, however it will run out of energy in about a dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it easily bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps don't mechanically imply crashes - which is sweet for studying to fly. Overall I actually preferred this quad, and give it two thumbs up!
