Review Eachine E011 Mini
Banggood.com
Today I am trying at the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that is another "Inductrix Clone". The headline feature that makes it stand out it the highest plate has building block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that gets to journey the quad like a skateboard. Fun, right? Well, let's get into this evaluation, and see if that is "just another clone" or if it will possibly stand out...
Flying
Plug in the battery, and the quad LED's give a slow blink. Switch on the remote, and the quad LED's go to a quick blink as they bind, then give steady on as soon as it is ready to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig is just not loaded, the quad will practically leap into the air. Without the extra weight of the mini-figure, there may be nearly not sufficient down throttle - it's robust to hover easy because you're a the very bottom finish of the throttle range. Add the little man, or different cargo, and it smooths out. Remember these 716 motors? yea, they have the power! Loaded up, the quad continues to be very zippy, and climbs joyful and quickly. Throttle blips are rewarded with good hops within the air. Flying is easy. The quad does have two "price" modes, low and high. the small button beneath the throttle switches modes - one press offers a double beep for high charges, one other press provides one beep for low charges. In low, it moves round easily, and speed / tilt / yaw are straightforward to handle. In High, it get a bit extra spirited. Still easy to manage, but will hold inexperienced persons on their toes as it zips around. Experienced pilots will probably wish to leap straight to the high charges. Overall, the only unhealthy habit I discovered with the quad is with the throttle low vary. I wish it was a bit smoother on the underside finish, as it seems to chop energy typically when I am descending. And, as mentioned before - flying unloaded, it almost will not hover, attributable to this.

Battery life
Battery life is good. I was constantly getting 6 minutes with the inventory battery. One flight, I ran the first Three-Four minutes with the mini-figure, then the final half with out and acquired a solid 7 minutes flight. Overall, I just like the inventory battery, no complaints. I did also fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I purchased for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are solely flying for 5 minutes, with a noticeable lower in punch. They do fly the quad good, but the inventory battery is best. As a side observe, Banggood sells a 5-pack of those batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So we have an excellent flying quad, with good battery life, and power to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV digital camera that I had used to FPV a small RC automobile, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 got here with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was an actual match for some unused mounting holes on the highest of the quad. The fundamental battery plug for the quad was positioned in order that it was simple to solder on the digital camera energy lead, so a few screws later, I used to be able to fly FPV!
Camera energy wires soldered to the back facet of the quad's battery plug
The EF-01 digital camera was very shut in weight to the mini-figure, so flying performance was similar. Unfortunately for me, my camera died before I may fly it various quick flights (the digicam already had points from it's automobile obligation days). for certain, though, I might be ordering a brand new digicam.
Summary
I have had plenty of enjoyable with this quad. It is an effective flyer, has good battery life, and has loads of energy. My youngsters also prefer it - they may add Legos to it and build cockpits and different stuff. The quad can raise an honest quantity, but it would run out of energy in a few dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it easily bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps don't automatically imply crashes - which is good for learning to fly. Overall I actually favored this quad, and give it two thumbs up!
