Review Eachine E011 Mini
Banggood.com
Today I'm trying at the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that is one other "Inductrix Clone". The headline characteristic that makes it stand out it the top plate has constructing block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that will get to trip the quad like a skateboard. Fun, proper? Well, let's get into this evaluate, and see if that is "simply one other clone" or if it will probably stand out...
Flying
Plug within the battery, and the quad LED's give a sluggish blink. Switch on the remote, and the quad LED's go to a quick blink as they bind, then give regular on as soon as it is able to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig shouldn't be loaded, the quad will virtually leap into the air. Without the additional weight of the mini-figure, there's virtually not sufficient down throttle - it's tough to hover clean because you're a the very backside end of the throttle vary. Add the little man, or other cargo, and it smooths out. Remember these 716 motors? yea, they've the ability! Loaded up, the quad continues to be very zippy, and climbs completely happy and quickly. Throttle blips are rewarded with good hops in the air. Flying is clean. The quad does have two "charge" modes, low and high. the small button under the throttle switches modes - one press provides a double beep for prime charges, one other press provides one beep for low rates. In low, it moves round smoothly, and velocity / tilt / yaw are easy to manage. In High, it get a bit more spirited. Still straightforward to control, but will keep inexperienced persons on their toes as it zips round. Experienced pilots will more than likely want to bounce straight to the excessive rates. Overall, the only unhealthy behavior I found with the quad is with the throttle low vary. I wish it was a bit smoother on the underside end, as it seems to cut energy usually when I'm descending. And, as talked about earlier than - flying unloaded, it almost won't hover, due to this.

Battery life
Battery life is nice. I used to be persistently getting 6 minutes with the stock battery. One flight, I ran the primary Three-4 minutes with the mini-figure, then the last half with out and bought a stable 7 minutes flight. Overall, I just like the inventory battery, no complaints. I did additionally fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I purchased for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are solely flying for 5 minutes, with a noticeable lower in punch. They do fly the quad good, but the stock battery is best. As a side observe, Banggood sells a 5-pack of these batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So we have now an amazing flying quad, with good battery life, and energy to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV digicam that I had used to FPV a small RC automobile, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 got here with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was an actual match for some unused mounting holes on the top of the quad. The primary battery plug for the quad was situated in order that it was simple to solder on the digicam energy lead, so a few screws later, I was able to fly FPV!
Camera energy wires soldered to the back facet of the quad's battery plug
The EF-01 camera was very close in weight to the mini-figure, so flying efficiency was similar. Unfortunately for me, my digicam died earlier than I could fly it quite a lot of short flights (the digital camera already had points from it is automobile responsibility days). for positive, although, I can be ordering a new digicam.
Summary
I've had loads of fun with this quad. It is an efficient flyer, has good battery life, and has loads of energy. My kids also prefer it - they are going to add Legos to it and construct cockpits and different stuff. The quad can elevate a good amount, but it can run out of power in a few dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it simply bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps do not robotically mean crashes - which is nice for studying to fly. Overall I really appreciated this quad, and give it two thumbs up!
