Review Eachine E011 Mini
Banggood.com
Today I'm trying at the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that's another "Inductrix Clone". The headline feature that makes it stand out it the highest plate has building block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that will get to experience the quad like a skateboard. Fun, right? Well, let's get into this review, and see if this is "simply one other clone" or if it can stand out...
Flying
Plug in the battery, and the quad LED's give a gradual blink. Switch on the remote, and the quad LED's go to a quick blink as they bind, then give regular on as soon as it is ready to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig shouldn't be loaded, the quad will virtually leap into the air. Without the additional weight of the mini-figure, there may be almost not enough down throttle - it is powerful to hover easy as a result of you're a the very backside end of the throttle vary. Add the little man, or other cargo, and it smooths out. Remember those 716 motors? yea, they have the power! Loaded up, the quad continues to be very zippy, and climbs happy and shortly. Throttle blips are rewarded with good hops within the air. Flying is easy. The quad does have two "charge" modes, high and low. the small button below the throttle switches modes - one press provides a double beep for prime charges, one other press offers one beep for low charges. In low, it moves round smoothly, and pace / tilt / yaw are easy to handle. In High, it get a bit extra spirited. Still simple to control, however will keep newbies on their toes as it zips around. Experienced pilots will more than likely wish to leap straight to the excessive rates. Overall, the one bad behavior I found with the quad is with the throttle low vary. I wish it was a bit smoother on the bottom end, as it seems to cut energy usually when I'm descending. And, as talked about before - flying unloaded, it almost won't hover, due to this.

Battery life
Battery life is good. I was constantly getting 6 minutes with the inventory battery. One flight, I ran the primary 3-4 minutes with the mini-figure, then the last half without and acquired a solid 7 minutes flight. Overall, I like the inventory battery, no complaints. I did additionally fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I bought for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are solely flying for 5 minutes, with a noticeable decrease in punch. They do fly the quad good, but the stock battery is best. As a aspect note, Banggood sells a 5-pack of these batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So we have a fantastic flying quad, with good battery life, and power to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV digital camera that I had used to FPV a small RC automotive, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 came with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was a precise fit for some unused mounting holes on the highest of the quad. The primary battery plug for the quad was situated in order that it was straightforward to solder on the digicam energy lead, so a number of screws later, I used to be ready to fly FPV!
Camera energy wires soldered to the again facet of the quad's battery plug
The EF-01 digital camera was very shut in weight to the mini-figure, so flying performance was similar. Unfortunately for me, my digital camera died earlier than I might fly it more than a few quick flights (the digicam already had issues from it is car obligation days). for certain, though, I will likely be ordering a new digicam.
Summary
I've had a number of fun with this quad. It is a good flyer, has good battery life, and has loads of energy. My kids additionally prefer it - they may add Legos to it and construct cockpits and different stuff. The quad can carry a decent amount, however it should run out of power in about a dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it easily bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps don't routinely mean crashes - which is sweet for studying to fly. Overall I actually appreciated this quad, and provides it two thumbs up!
