Review Eachine E011 Mini

Today I am looking at the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that is one other "Inductrix Clone". The headline feature that makes it stand out it the highest plate has constructing block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that gets to experience the quad like a skateboard. 
Fun, proper? Well, let's get into this overview, and see if that is "just one other clone" or if it may well stand out...
Flying
Plug within the battery, and the quad LED's give a sluggish blink. Switch on the remote, and the quad LED's go to a fast blink as they bind, then give regular on once it is able to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig just isn't loaded, the quad will virtually leap into the air. Without the additional weight of the mini-figure, there may be nearly not sufficient down throttle - it's tough to hover easy as a result of you are a the very backside finish of the throttle vary. Add the little man, or different cargo, and it smooths out. Remember those 716 motors? yea, they have the power! Loaded up, the quad continues to be very zippy, and climbs completely satisfied and shortly. Throttle blips are rewarded with nice hops within the air. Flying is smooth. The quad does have two "charge" modes, low and high. the small button under the throttle switches modes - one press offers a double beep for prime charges, one other press gives one beep for low charges. In low, it moves around smoothly, and pace / tilt / yaw are easy to handle. In High, it get a bit more spirited. Still simple to regulate, but will preserve newcomers on their toes as it zips round. Experienced pilots will almost definitely need to leap straight to the high charges. Overall, the only dangerous habit I found with the quad is with the throttle low vary. I wish it was a bit smoother on the bottom end, because it appears to cut power often when I am descending. And, as mentioned before - flying unloaded, it almost will not hover, resulting from this.
Battery life
Battery life is nice. I was consistently getting 6 minutes with the stock battery. One flight, I ran the primary Three-4 minutes with the mini-figure, then the final half with out and got a strong 7 minutes flight. Overall, I just like the stock battery, no complaints. I did additionally fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I bought for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are solely flying for 5 minutes, with a noticeable decrease in punch. They do fly the quad good, but the stock battery is healthier. As a side notice, Banggood sells a 5-pack of these batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So we have now an amazing flying quad, with good battery life, and energy to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV camera that I had used to FPV a small RC automotive, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 came with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was an exact fit for some unused mounting holes on the top of the quad. The important battery plug for the quad was positioned so that it was straightforward to solder on the digicam energy lead, so a number of screws later, I was ready to fly FPV!

The EF-01 digicam was very shut in weight to the mini-figure, so flying efficiency was comparable. Unfortunately for me, my camera died before I may fly it quite a lot of brief flights (the camera already had points from it is automotive responsibility days). for sure, although, I will probably be ordering a new digicam.
Summary
I've had numerous fun with this quad. It is an effective flyer, has good battery life, and has plenty of energy. My kids also prefer it - they'll add Legos to it and construct cockpits and different stuff. The quad can raise a good quantity, however it is going to run out of power in a few dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it easily bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps do not routinely imply crashes - which is sweet for studying to fly. Overall I really preferred this quad, and provides it two thumbs up!
