Today I am looking on the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that's one other "Inductrix Clone". The headline function that makes it stand out it the highest plate has constructing block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that will get to experience the quad like a skateboard.

Flying
Plug within the battery, and the quad LED's give a sluggish blink. Switch on the remote, and the quad LED's go to a quick blink as they bind, then give regular on as soon as it is ready to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig is not loaded, the quad will practically leap into the air. Without the additional weight of the mini-figure, there's virtually not sufficient down throttle - it is tough to hover smooth as a result of you are a the very bottom end of the throttle range. Add the little man, or different cargo, and it smooths out. Remember those 716 motors? yea, they have the ability! Loaded up, the quad remains to be very zippy, and climbs pleased and rapidly. Throttle blips are rewarded with nice hops within the air. Flying is smooth. The quad does have two "price" modes, high and low. the small button beneath the throttle switches modes - one press offers a double beep for prime rates, another press provides one beep for low rates. In low, it moves round easily, and pace / tilt / yaw are simple to handle. In High, it get a bit more spirited. Still simple to control, however will hold rookies on their toes as it zips around. Experienced pilots will almost definitely need to leap straight to the high rates. Overall, the only bad habit I found with the quad is with the throttle low vary. I wish it was a bit smoother on the bottom end, because it seems to cut power usually when I am descending. And, as mentioned earlier than - flying unloaded, it almost won't hover, on account of this.
Battery life
Battery life is sweet. I used to be constantly getting 6 minutes with the stock battery. One flight, I ran the first 3-4 minutes with the mini-figure, then the last half without and acquired a strong 7 minutes flight. Overall, I just like the inventory battery, no complaints. I did additionally fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I bought for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are only flying for 5 minutes, with a noticeable lower in punch. They do fly the quad good, but the inventory battery is better. As a aspect note, Banggood sells a 5-pack of those batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So we've an incredible flying quad, with good battery life, and energy to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV digital camera that I had used to FPV a small RC car, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 came with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was a precise match for some unused mounting holes on the top of the quad. The most important battery plug for the quad was situated so that it was easy to solder on the digital camera energy lead, so a number of screws later, I was able to fly FPV!

The EF-01 camera was very shut in weight to the mini-figure, so flying performance was comparable. Unfortunately for me, my camera died earlier than I might fly it more than a few quick flights (the digital camera already had points from it's car duty days). for positive, although, I will probably be ordering a brand new camera.
Summary
I have had lots of enjoyable with this quad. It is a good flyer, has good battery life, and has plenty of power. My youngsters additionally prefer it - they will add Legos to it and build cockpits and different stuff. The quad can carry a good amount, but it will run out of energy in a couple of dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it simply bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps do not routinely imply crashes - which is sweet for learning to fly. Overall I really appreciated this quad, and provides it two thumbs up!
