Review Eachine E011 Mini
Banggood.com
Today I am trying at the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that is one other "Inductrix Clone". The headline characteristic that makes it stand out it the top plate has building block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that will get to trip the quad like a skateboard. Fun, right? Well, let's get into this overview, and see if this is "simply one other clone" or if it can stand out...
Flying
Plug in the battery, and the quad LED's give a sluggish blink. Switch on the remote, and the quad LED's go to a quick blink as they bind, then give steady on as soon as it is ready to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig isn't loaded, the quad will practically leap into the air. Without the additional weight of the mini-figure, there is virtually not enough down throttle - it is robust to hover clean as a result of you're a the very backside finish of the throttle range. Add the little man, or other cargo, and it smooths out. Remember those 716 motors? yea, they've the ability! Loaded up, the quad continues to be very zippy, and climbs blissful and quickly. Throttle blips are rewarded with good hops in the air. Flying is easy. The quad does have two "charge" modes, high and low. the small button beneath the throttle switches modes - one press gives a double beep for top charges, one other press offers one beep for low charges. In low, it strikes around easily, and speed / tilt / yaw are easy to manage. In High, it get a bit extra spirited. Still easy to regulate, however will maintain rookies on their toes as it zips around. Experienced pilots will probably wish to soar straight to the excessive rates. Overall, the one dangerous habit I discovered with the quad is with the throttle low vary. I want it was a bit smoother on the bottom end, because it seems to chop energy often when I am descending. And, as mentioned before - flying unloaded, it almost will not hover, on account of this.

Battery life
Battery life is good. I was consistently getting 6 minutes with the stock battery. One flight, I ran the first Three-4 minutes with the mini-figure, then the final half without and acquired a stable 7 minutes flight. Overall, I just like the stock battery, no complaints. I did additionally fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I purchased for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are solely flying for five minutes, with a noticeable lower in punch. They do fly the quad good, but the stock battery is better. As a aspect observe, Banggood sells a 5-pack of these batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So we have now an incredible flying quad, with good battery life, and energy to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV digicam that I had used to FPV a small RC automotive, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 got here with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was an actual match for some unused mounting holes on the highest of the quad. The major battery plug for the quad was situated so that it was simple to solder on the digicam energy lead, so a number of screws later, I used to be ready to fly FPV!
Camera energy wires soldered to the back side of the quad's battery plug
The EF-01 digicam was very shut in weight to the mini-figure, so flying performance was related. Unfortunately for me, my digital camera died earlier than I could fly it more than a few quick flights (the digicam already had issues from it's automobile responsibility days). for certain, although, I shall be ordering a brand new digital camera.
Summary
I've had a number of enjoyable with this quad. It is an effective flyer, has good battery life, and has loads of power. My youngsters additionally like it - they are going to add Legos to it and build cockpits and different stuff. The quad can lift a good amount, however it'll run out of energy in a couple of dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it simply bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps don't automatically mean crashes - which is nice for studying to fly. Overall I actually appreciated this quad, and give it two thumbs up!
