Review Eachine E011 Mini
Banggood.com
Today I'm wanting on the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that's another "Inductrix Clone". The headline feature that makes it stand out it the highest plate has constructing block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that gets to journey the quad like a skateboard. Fun, right? Well, let's get into this review, and see if this is "just another clone" or if it can stand out...
Flying
Plug within the battery, and the quad LED's give a gradual blink. Switch on the distant, and the quad LED's go to a fast blink as they bind, then give steady on once it is able to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig just isn't loaded, the quad will virtually leap into the air. Without the extra weight of the mini-figure, there's almost not enough down throttle - it is tough to hover easy because you're a the very bottom finish of the throttle vary. Add the little man, or other cargo, and it smooths out. Remember these 716 motors? yea, they've the power! Loaded up, the quad is still very zippy, and climbs completely happy and quickly. Throttle blips are rewarded with nice hops within the air. Flying is smooth. The quad does have two "fee" modes, low and high. the small button beneath the throttle switches modes - one press offers a double beep for prime rates, one other press provides one beep for low charges. In low, it strikes round smoothly, and pace / tilt / yaw are simple to handle. In High, it get a bit more spirited. Still straightforward to regulate, however will preserve inexperienced persons on their toes because it zips around. Experienced pilots will almost certainly want to soar straight to the high rates. Overall, the one dangerous behavior I discovered with the quad is with the throttle low vary. I want it was a bit smoother on the underside end, because it appears to cut energy typically when I am descending. And, as talked about before - flying unloaded, it nearly will not hover, attributable to this.

Battery life
Battery life is good. I was constantly getting 6 minutes with the stock battery. One flight, I ran the first 3-Four minutes with the mini-figure, then the last half with out and bought a stable 7 minutes flight. Overall, I like the stock battery, no complaints. I did also fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I bought for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are solely flying for 5 minutes, with a noticeable decrease in punch. They do fly the quad good, however the inventory battery is healthier. As a side observe, Banggood sells a 5-pack of these batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So we've got an excellent flying quad, with good battery life, and power to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV digital camera that I had used to FPV a small RC car, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 got here with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was an actual fit for some unused mounting holes on the top of the quad. The fundamental battery plug for the quad was located so that it was straightforward to solder on the digicam power lead, so a couple of screws later, I used to be ready to fly FPV!
Camera energy wires soldered to the again side of the quad's battery plug
The EF-01 digital camera was very shut in weight to the mini-figure, so flying efficiency was comparable. Unfortunately for me, my digital camera died before I could fly it quite a lot of quick flights (the digital camera already had points from it is automobile responsibility days). for positive, although, I will be ordering a new digicam.
Summary
I have had quite a lot of enjoyable with this quad. It is an efficient flyer, has good battery life, and has plenty of power. My children also like it - they may add Legos to it and build cockpits and different stuff. The quad can carry a good amount, however it is going to run out of power in about a dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it easily bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps don't robotically imply crashes - which is sweet for learning to fly. Overall I really appreciated this quad, and provides it two thumbs up!
