Review Eachine E011 Mini

Today I'm trying on the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that's another "Inductrix Clone". The headline feature that makes it stand out it the highest plate has building block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that will get to trip the quad like a skateboard. 
Fun, proper? Well, let's get into this review, and see if that is "just another clone" or if it could actually stand out...
Flying
Plug in the battery, and the quad LED's give a slow blink. Switch on the distant, and the quad LED's go to a fast blink as they bind, then give regular on once it is ready to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig just isn't loaded, the quad will practically leap into the air. Without the additional weight of the mini-figure, there may be virtually not enough down throttle - it is powerful to hover smooth because you're a the very bottom end of the throttle range. Add the little man, or other cargo, and it smooths out. Remember these 716 motors? yea, they have the facility! Loaded up, the quad remains to be very zippy, and climbs blissful and rapidly. Throttle blips are rewarded with nice hops in the air. Flying is smooth. The quad does have two "fee" modes, high and low. the small button below the throttle switches modes - one press gives a double beep for prime charges, one other press provides one beep for low charges. In low, it moves round easily, and pace / tilt / yaw are straightforward to handle. In High, it get a bit more spirited. Still straightforward to manage, however will keep beginners on their toes because it zips round. Experienced pilots will most certainly wish to soar straight to the high rates. Overall, the one unhealthy behavior I found with the quad is with the throttle low range. I wish it was a bit smoother on the underside end, because it seems to chop energy often when I'm descending. And, as talked about earlier than - flying unloaded, it nearly will not hover, due to this.

Battery life
Battery life is sweet. I was consistently getting 6 minutes with the stock battery. One flight, I ran the first 3-Four minutes with the mini-figure, then the last half with out and received a solid 7 minutes flight. Overall, I just like the stock battery, no complaints. I did additionally fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I purchased for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are solely flying for 5 minutes, with a noticeable decrease in punch. They do fly the quad good, however the inventory battery is better. As a aspect observe, Banggood sells a 5-pack of those batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So we now have a fantastic flying quad, with good battery life, and power to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV camera that I had used to FPV a small RC car, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 came with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was a precise match for some unused mounting holes on the highest of the quad. The fundamental battery plug for the quad was located in order that it was straightforward to solder on the digicam energy lead, so just a few screws later, I was able to fly FPV!

The EF-01 digital camera was very close in weight to the mini-figure, so flying efficiency was comparable. Unfortunately for me, my camera died earlier than I could fly it quite a lot of quick flights (the camera already had points from it's automobile responsibility days). for certain, though, I will probably be ordering a new camera.
Summary
I have had a variety of fun with this quad. It is an effective flyer, has good battery life, and has plenty of power. My children also like it - they may add Legos to it and construct cockpits and other stuff. The quad can elevate a good quantity, however it can run out of power in about a dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it simply bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps don't mechanically imply crashes - which is good for learning to fly. Overall I really preferred this quad, and give it two thumbs up!
