Today I am wanting on the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that's one other "Inductrix Clone". The headline characteristic that makes it stand out it the top plate has constructing block / Lego attachments! Flying
Plug within the battery, and the quad LED's give a slow blink. Switch on the remote, and the quad LED's go to a fast blink as they bind, then give steady on once it is able to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig is just not loaded, the quad will virtually leap into the air. Without the additional weight of the mini-figure, there may be almost not sufficient down throttle - it is powerful to hover clean because you are a the very bottom end of the throttle vary. Add the little man, or different cargo, and it smooths out. Remember those 716 motors? yea, they've the power! Loaded up, the quad remains to be very zippy, and climbs happy and shortly. Throttle blips are rewarded with nice hops in the air. Flying is smooth. The quad does have two "price" modes, low and high. the small button beneath the throttle switches modes - one press gives a double beep for top rates, one other press provides one beep for low rates. In low, it moves round smoothly, and speed / tilt / yaw are easy to manage. In High, it get a bit extra spirited. Still simple to control, but will maintain freshmen on their toes because it zips round. Experienced pilots will almost certainly want to leap straight to the high charges. Overall, the only unhealthy behavior I discovered with the quad is with the throttle low range. I wish it was a bit smoother on the underside end, as it seems to cut energy usually when I'm descending. And, as mentioned earlier than - flying unloaded, it virtually won't hover, due to this.
Battery life
Battery life is good. I used to be consistently getting 6 minutes with the stock battery. One flight, I ran the first Three-Four minutes with the mini-figure, then the last half with out and bought a stable 7 minutes flight. Overall, I like the inventory battery, no complaints. I did additionally fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I bought for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are solely flying for 5 minutes, with a noticeable decrease in punch. They do fly the quad good, however the stock battery is healthier. Mods
So we have now an excellent flying quad, with good battery life, and power to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV digital camera that I had used to FPV a small RC car, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 got here with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was an actual match for some unused mounting holes on the highest of the quad. The important battery plug for the quad was situated so that it was simple to solder on the digital camera energy lead, so a few screws later, I was ready to fly FPV!

The EF-01 digicam was very close in weight to the mini-figure, so flying efficiency was comparable. Summary
I've had a whole lot of enjoyable with this quad. It is a good flyer, has good battery life, and has loads of power. My kids additionally like it - they are going to add Legos to it and build cockpits and other stuff. The quad can raise a good amount, however it will run out of energy in a few dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it easily bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps don't robotically mean crashes - which is nice for learning to fly. Overall I actually preferred this quad, and give it two thumbs up!
