Today I'm looking on the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that's another "Inductrix Clone". The headline feature that makes it stand out it the highest plate has constructing block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that gets to ride the quad like a skateboard. 
Fun, right? Well, let's get into this evaluate, and see if this is "just another clone" or if it could actually stand out...
Flying
Plug in the battery, and the quad LED's give a gradual blink. Switch on the remote, and the quad LED's go to a quick blink as they bind, then give steady on as soon as it is ready to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig shouldn't be loaded, the quad will virtually leap into the air. Without the additional weight of the mini-figure, there may be almost not enough down throttle - it is robust to hover clean as a result of you are a the very bottom finish of the throttle range. Add the little man, or different cargo, and it smooths out. Remember these 716 motors? yea, they've the facility! Loaded up, the quad is still very zippy, and climbs glad and quickly. Still simple to regulate, however will maintain newbies on their toes because it zips around. Experienced pilots will most definitely wish to soar straight to the high charges. Overall, the one dangerous habit I discovered with the quad is with the throttle low vary. I want it was a bit smoother on the underside finish, because it seems to cut power often when I am descending. And, as mentioned earlier than - flying unloaded, it almost won't hover, as a consequence of this.
Battery life
Battery life is nice. I used to be constantly getting 6 minutes with the stock battery. One flight, I ran the first 3-Four minutes with the mini-figure, then the last half with out and received a stable 7 minutes flight. Overall, I like the stock battery, no complaints. I did also fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I purchased for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are solely flying for 5 minutes, with a noticeable lower in punch. They do fly the quad good, but the inventory battery is better. As a aspect notice, Banggood sells a 5-pack of these batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So we have now an important flying quad, with good battery life, and power to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV digital camera that I had used to FPV a small RC automobile, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 got here with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was an exact match for some unused mounting holes on the highest of the quad. The important battery plug for the quad was positioned in order that it was simple to solder on the digicam power lead, so a couple of screws later, I was ready to fly FPV!

The EF-01 camera was very close in weight to the mini-figure, so flying efficiency was related. Summary
I have had plenty of fun with this quad. It is an efficient flyer, has good battery life, and has plenty of energy. My youngsters additionally like it - they'll add Legos to it and construct cockpits and different stuff. With the ducted props, it simply bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps do not mechanically mean crashes - which is nice for learning to fly. Overall I really liked this quad, and provides it two thumbs up!
