Review Eachine E011 Mini
Banggood.com
Today I'm looking on the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that's one other "Inductrix Clone". The headline function that makes it stand out it the highest plate has building block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that will get to journey the quad like a skateboard. Fun, proper? Well, let's get into this overview, and see if this is "just another clone" or if it may well stand out...
Flying
Plug within the battery, and the quad LED's give a sluggish blink. Switch on the distant, and the quad LED's go to a fast blink as they bind, then give steady on as soon as it is able to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig is not loaded, the quad will virtually leap into the air. Without the extra weight of the mini-figure, there's almost not sufficient down throttle - it's tough to hover smooth because you are a the very backside end of the throttle vary. Add the little man, or other cargo, and it smooths out. Remember those 716 motors? yea, they've the facility! Loaded up, the quad is still very zippy, and climbs glad and rapidly. Throttle blips are rewarded with nice hops in the air. Flying is clean. The quad does have two "fee" modes, high and low. the small button under the throttle switches modes - one press gives a double beep for top rates, one other press offers one beep for low rates. In low, it strikes round easily, and speed / tilt / yaw are simple to handle. In High, it get a bit extra spirited. Still straightforward to manage, but will maintain inexperienced persons on their toes because it zips round. Experienced pilots will almost definitely wish to leap straight to the high charges. Overall, the only bad habit I discovered with the quad is with the throttle low range. I want it was a bit smoother on the underside end, as it seems to cut power typically when I am descending. And, as talked about before - flying unloaded, it almost will not hover, as a consequence of this.

Battery life
Battery life is good. I was constantly getting 6 minutes with the inventory battery. One flight, I ran the first 3-Four minutes with the mini-figure, then the last half without and obtained a solid 7 minutes flight. Overall, I just like the stock battery, no complaints. I did additionally fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I purchased for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are only flying for five minutes, with a noticeable lower in punch. They do fly the quad good, but the inventory battery is healthier. As a side notice, Banggood sells a 5-pack of these batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So we've an important flying quad, with good battery life, and energy to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV camera that I had used to FPV a small RC automobile, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 got here with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was an exact match for some unused mounting holes on the highest of the quad. The predominant battery plug for the quad was situated so that it was easy to solder on the digital camera energy lead, so a couple of screws later, I was ready to fly FPV!
Camera energy wires soldered to the again side of the quad's battery plug
The EF-01 digital camera was very close in weight to the mini-figure, so flying efficiency was similar. Unfortunately for me, my camera died earlier than I may fly it various quick flights (the digital camera already had points from it's automobile obligation days). for certain, although, I can be ordering a brand new digicam.
Summary
I've had a whole lot of enjoyable with this quad. It is an effective flyer, has good battery life, and has plenty of power. My children also like it - they are going to add Legos to it and construct cockpits and other stuff. The quad can elevate a decent amount, however it would run out of power in about a dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it simply bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps don't robotically imply crashes - which is sweet for studying to fly. Overall I actually liked this quad, and provides it two thumbs up!
