Review Eachine E011 Mini

Today I am wanting on the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that's another "Inductrix Clone". The headline function that makes it stand out it the highest plate has building block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that will get to trip the quad like a skateboard. 
Fun, right? Well, let's get into this review, and see if that is "simply one other clone" or if it may well stand out...
Flying
Plug within the battery, and the quad LED's give a gradual blink. Switch on the remote, and the quad LED's go to a quick blink as they bind, then give regular on as soon as it is able to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig shouldn't be loaded, the quad will virtually leap into the air. Without the additional weight of the mini-figure, there is almost not sufficient down throttle - it's tough to hover easy as a result of you are a the very backside end of the throttle vary. Add the little man, or different cargo, and it smooths out. Remember those 716 motors? yea, they have the ability! Loaded up, the quad continues to be very zippy, and climbs blissful and shortly. Throttle blips are rewarded with good hops in the air. Flying is clean. The quad does have two "charge" modes, low and high. the small button under the throttle switches modes - one press gives a double beep for high rates, another press provides one beep for low rates. In low, it moves around smoothly, and pace / tilt / yaw are simple to handle. In High, it get a bit more spirited. Still simple to manage, but will maintain freshmen on their toes as it zips round. Experienced pilots will most definitely wish to leap straight to the high rates. Overall, the one dangerous behavior I discovered with the quad is with the throttle low range. I want it was a bit smoother on the bottom finish, because it appears to chop power usually when I am descending. And, as talked about before - flying unloaded, it virtually will not hover, resulting from this.
Battery life
Battery life is good. I used to be persistently getting 6 minutes with the stock battery. One flight, I ran the first Three-4 minutes with the mini-figure, then the final half without and bought a strong 7 minutes flight. Overall, I like the inventory battery, no complaints. I did also fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I purchased for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are solely flying for five minutes, with a noticeable lower in punch. They do fly the quad good, but the stock battery is healthier. As a aspect notice, Banggood sells a 5-pack of those batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So now we have an amazing flying quad, with good battery life, and energy to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV digicam that I had used to FPV a small RC automotive, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 came with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was an actual fit for some unused mounting holes on the top of the quad. The important battery plug for the quad was positioned in order that it was simple to solder on the digital camera power lead, so a number of screws later, I used to be ready to fly FPV!

The EF-01 camera was very close in weight to the mini-figure, so flying performance was similar. Unfortunately for me, my camera died earlier than I may fly it more than a few quick flights (the camera already had issues from it's automobile duty days). for positive, though, I can be ordering a new camera.
Summary
I have had a number of enjoyable with this quad. It is an effective flyer, has good battery life, and has loads of power. My kids also like it - they'll add Legos to it and build cockpits and other stuff. The quad can raise a decent amount, however it would run out of power in a few dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it easily bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps do not robotically imply crashes - which is nice for learning to fly. Overall I really preferred this quad, and provides it two thumbs up!
