Review Eachine E011 Mini
Banggood.com
Today I am trying at the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that's one other "Inductrix Clone". The headline function that makes it stand out it the highest plate has building block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that gets to experience the quad like a skateboard. Fun, proper? Well, let's get into this evaluation, and see if this is "just another clone" or if it could stand out...
Flying
Plug in the battery, and the quad LED's give a gradual blink. Switch on the distant, and the quad LED's go to a fast blink as they bind, then give regular on as soon as it is able to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig is not loaded, the quad will virtually leap into the air. Without the extra weight of the mini-figure, there's virtually not enough down throttle - it is robust to hover easy as a result of you're a the very bottom end of the throttle vary. Add the little man, or other cargo, and it smooths out. Remember those 716 motors? yea, they have the facility! Loaded up, the quad continues to be very zippy, and climbs completely happy and quickly. Throttle blips are rewarded with nice hops in the air. Flying is clean. The quad does have two "price" modes, low and high. the small button under the throttle switches modes - one press offers a double beep for high charges, another press gives one beep for low charges. In low, it strikes around smoothly, and velocity / tilt / yaw are straightforward to handle. In High, it get a bit more spirited. Still straightforward to manage, but will hold beginners on their toes because it zips round. Experienced pilots will most probably want to soar straight to the excessive charges. Overall, the only unhealthy habit I found with the quad is with the throttle low vary. I wish it was a bit smoother on the bottom end, as it seems to chop power typically when I'm descending. And, as mentioned earlier than - flying unloaded, it nearly won't hover, resulting from this.

Battery life
Battery life is good. I was consistently getting 6 minutes with the stock battery. One flight, I ran the primary 3-4 minutes with the mini-figure, then the final half with out and acquired a strong 7 minutes flight. Overall, I just like the stock battery, no complaints. I did additionally fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I purchased for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are solely flying for 5 minutes, with a noticeable decrease in punch. They do fly the quad good, but the stock battery is best. As a facet word, Banggood sells a 5-pack of these batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So we've a great flying quad, with good battery life, and power to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV digital camera that I had used to FPV a small RC car, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 came with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was an exact fit for some unused mounting holes on the top of the quad. The essential battery plug for the quad was located in order that it was easy to solder on the digital camera energy lead, so a couple of screws later, I used to be able to fly FPV!
Camera power wires soldered to the back aspect of the quad's battery plug
The EF-01 camera was very shut in weight to the mini-figure, so flying performance was comparable. Unfortunately for me, my digital camera died earlier than I could fly it quite a lot of short flights (the camera already had points from it's automotive responsibility days). for certain, although, I shall be ordering a new camera.
Summary
I have had quite a lot of fun with this quad. It is a good flyer, has good battery life, and has loads of energy. My youngsters also like it - they may add Legos to it and build cockpits and other stuff. The quad can lift a decent quantity, but it is going to run out of energy in a few dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it simply bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps don't robotically imply crashes - which is sweet for studying to fly. Overall I actually favored this quad, and give it two thumbs up!
